Need help as an ADC

So I am a silver 5 who is struggling to win games. I have been working on improvement but need to know how to better. Here is my list of items that I seem to struggle with:

  1. How do I overcome teams when I have no tank on my team and the enemy team has 2? (example: my team AP kennen top, Kindred, Lux mid, Caitlyn, and Karma support vs Darius, Zac, Leblanc, Ezreal, Leona) I really struggle in these games without a tank

  2. I typically win my lane over 90% of the time and get the first tower. How/what do I do from that point? Roam mid to take that tower? Lane swap with top lane if they let me? if they don't then what? just freeze the lane outside my tower and farm? I have tried just laning further to get the 2nd tower but that tends to go badly without taking any other towers.

  3. Pink ward placement - I feel good about this in the laning phase but then after that where should I be placing them? Dragon/Baron? just in bushes in the jungle and hope they walk by? Use the Farsight Alteration more for vision? I have been finding that I am purchasing them and selling them back from not placing them because my original one hasn't been destroyed yet or I just don't know where to put them.

  4. How do I watch replays of my gameplay? These are the big points I noticed on the fly, I know I can point out many more if I can see what I am doing for a 2nd or 3rd time in games that I am losing.

Thanks

  1. Cry. But seriously, just stay as far back as you can, build items like Mercurial Scimitar, BoRK, Lord Dominik's/Mortal Reminder. Stick to your support. Position as well as you can and be ready to bail out as soon as things start looking bad. Champs that can kite well are good for avoiding tanks and divers, so think Kalista, Ezreal, somewhat Ashe and Caitlyn.

  2. Roam mid is likely best, but make sure to not sacrifice bot lane pressure. Keep bot pushing is possible, and rotate to take objectives/extend map pressure.

  3. Place them where you think you need them. In regards to blue trinket, I usually stick with the yellow, as I like to have a quick ward I can place whenever I need it, and having two charges helps with that.

  4. Replay.GG records your games through the spectator client. Go to their website and follow the registration steps, and then you can go download any of your games within a few weeks. Another service is plays.tv, which records the actual footage (so microphone or music as well). Plus you can make highlight clips or just things that are cool/funny/interesting

Gonna have to be a bit blunt here.

  1. Learn to position. At least to the point where you don't die. If you somehow can't, pick ADCs that have plenty of self-peel. item 3140 is your best friend.
  2. It depends on the matchup, but usually, right after killing the enemy bot tower, go mid and try to take that mid tower. Whether you killed it or not and if you see there's a wave being pushed, go back bot immediately. If for some reason the entire enemy team are going top, take bot. If the enemy team is playing ARAMs (which happens a lot in silver), ward up and push bot.
  3. Ward wherever you think is necessary. If you don't feel safe, use that ward. If your support already used up all 3 wards and there's still a corner that needs some lighting, ward it. Otherwise, use farsight so if you want to see what happens at dragon/baron/somewhere that facechecking is dangerous. There's a lot more on pink ward placement, but at least get used to just warding on your own.
  4. As of now, Replay.gg records your more recent matches, but eventually in the new client Riot will finally have their own replay system. Short answer: Replay.gg.

Hope this helps.

Just don't play ADc at silver 5. It's either the hardest or second hardest to carry from at your level. Just work on the basics and if you really want to stick to AD, do it when you're a bit of a higher rank.

  1. Usually if my team has no tank it means we are higher in CC/Dmg so I tend to let say kennen engage first. Every team would most likely one champ with a front line. Against tanks I tend to rush Lord Doms.

  2. Go mid after you take down the turret is tend to do what I do or if I was stomping and as well known as fed I tend to push bot more and keep it pushed up.

  3. I tend to pink the enemies Jg in their tri bush or the bush near drake/baron depends on what objective your team is wanting to go for.

  4. I use Overwolf. HUD replay. It records clips every time you die and or get a kill. As well if you die in game you can see how you died (like a killicam if you played Call of Duty)( also show what mouse buttons/ keyboard buttons you used) Sneaky and other professionals use this. Its really helpful! Heres the link

Hope it helps and peace! :D

  1. It depends on your team comp. Does your team want to engage and make picks, or does it want to peel back and poke down the enemy? With the example you gave you're going to have to focus on positioning and kite for your life. You're a poke comp, so you need to wear down the enemy team before fighting. If the enemy team engages on you with full health you're going to lose. What I was taught by my high elo friends is that half the game is identifying how your team is going to win, and playing to it.

  2. The answer is so situational. It's going to change game to game based on your team comp, the enemy team comp, which team is ahead, etc. If you need one answer I'd say pushing down mid is the default answer, but like I said, that will not always be the right choice.

  3. Again, it's situational. I was taught that it depends on what you think is going to happen next in the game. Dragon coming up soon and you expect to fight over it? Ward around dragon. You want to get aggressive and take towers? Set up wards in the enemy's jungle. Is your team on the defensive? Start warding up your own jungle. Also, don't be afraid to re-position your pinks, even if your first one hasn't been killed. There's no point leaving your pink ward in the dragon pit if it's not going to be up for 4 minutes and the next fight is likely to be at baron. Having a pink next to your blue buff isn't helping anyone if the entire team is pushed back into their own base.
