I haven't been watching much lcs lately, is he actually getting played again? He wasn't for a while after he received some significant nerfs.

Not a lot, but he still pops up every once in awhile.

He's seeing a bit of use toplane as that's the only real way he can "shine". His q/e allow him to farm decently and his ulti gives him a bit of a niche over nautilus (as you can instantly push multiple people instead of just the target). Not the best tank (as he falls off massively lategame), but still used as a niche one when naut is banned.

Honestly, no offence but he is urgot-class visually unappealing. Like seriously. He only gets played in soloque when pros goes to a degree of pick or ban mode.

I even had a friend who vowed in the name of his pride he wont use gragas even if he is god-tier.

He actually isn't played often at all in the LCS. You must have coincidentally been watching those few games where he's been picked, which only started a couple of weeks ago.
