Doesn't The Lethality Change On the PBE Completely Contradict the Change to Lethality?

Lethality

  • Lethality now calculated based on owner's level.

Wasn't the entire point of the Lethality change so that you couldn't outscale the enemy's armor and snowball ahead too much? This completely goes against the entire point of changing the flat Armor Pen to Lethality.

I think the idea was (mostly for AD assassins) that they wouldn't be insanely strong when ahead, but they wouldn't be completely useless if behind. Maybe they're trying a different method, it does make them stronger when they're ahead and weaker when their behind, but still it doesn't give you the full armor penetration.

I'm open to testing it and seeing how it goes. In my opinion it makes sense, since assassins are high risk, high reward, but often it seems these lethality items are used in ways that they don't always anticipate.

This will only increase the "feast or famine" nature of Assassins though. Assassins should be high risk, high reward when making plays, not high risk, high reward when being picked in champion select.

Usually when Riot has a good idea someone deletes it later.

No really. Even when ahead u don't gain so much arpen since lethality scale. i think u don't remember the old arpen.
