Renektons W is now counted as an auto attack?

I was playing against teemo and i could not stun him through the blind. Has it always been this way? It made this match up annoying

It's literally always been this way... and it's actually two auto attacks, 3 for enraged. DO you read tooltips?

thanks asshole i just found it in patch 5.22, renekton w wont hit through teemos blind anymore. dont post if you dont know

Actually I do know, I've played since S3, and back in my day, Renekton's W didn't hit through Teemo's blind. Several times auto attack steroids have been messed up in coding somehow that allows them to hit through things that they shouldn't hit through, currently there's a bug with Nidalee's cougar Q working when it shouldn't.

And in patch 5.22 it says "Historically, the way empowered basic attacks would affect their target if they'd fail to hit (due to Teemo's Blinding Dart, Pantheon's Aegis of Zeonia, or Jax's Counterstrike) has been pretty inconsistent. In some cases they'd do nothing, in others they'd apply crowd control (but no damage) and in a few they'd just ignore the status altogether. We've retooled these to more consistently meet expectations: if one of the following empowered basic attack misses its target, it won't deal any damage or apply any other effects. In cases where this is tied to a buff, that buff will be consumed as well."

i found this online about it

It blocks the Champion's autoattack damage but not the effects that go along with it. For example, Gangplank's Q's Extra damage [ 20 / 45 / 70 / 95 / 120] and passive will still affect Teemo when GP's blinded.
