Isolation: No clarity for opponents

Covert Ops Gnar··3 votes·1,374 views

You don't know if you're isolated till you die in one fucking hit, even if you are like 2 inches from your teammates.

Lacks clarity/clear weakness for opponents to exploit.

It'd be like when TF uses his W, only he can see the card he pulled until thrown. Or if Draven's Q didn't have a visual effect and you suddenly just took 5000 damage from one AA. Or if Jinx has Rockets/Minigun in hand

Bring clarity for enemies.

... but being isolated has nothing to do with your position relative to Kha'Zix, and everything to do with your position relative to your allies, who you have vision of.

Do you see any allies near you?

No?

Guess what, you're isolated.

This. You don't need an indicator to tell you that you're alone. Common sense should prevail here.

if you ever get past bronze, you'll find out that an enemy kha will hit you if you're 1 pixel outside the designated isolation range from teammates.

If you have no notion of in-game distance, the fault's on you. I may be bronze (as will say the unranked player acting as if Rank is a viable argument), but I can easily tell the distance I am from something based on my own ranges. Be it me auto attack range or from my abilities.

Just hover over an ability of your champion that you know the range (for example, Ez' Q is about 1100 untis) and use it as a base.

You don't need 1 pixel precision because you shouldn't be sitting perpetually at the 550 isolation range. You can't control the movements of your allies, they might suddenly move in an unespected direction and if you are hovering at the 10 last units of non-isolation, you might get isolated and killed.

TL;DR: Common Sense.

TL;DR: Common Sense.

You need the ability to position anywhere within the 550 units to maximize effectiveness in Diamond. Doing surprise 1000 damage because he pressed Q while a circle was around you that is invisible to you is stupid and lacks counterplay.

How fair would it be if you couldn't see Jhin's bullet count

Or see Draven's Q

Or TF's pick--a-card selection

It's retarded to have a critical indicator not visible for enemies.

TequilaZombie1 votes

What is the other option?

You can have it on 100% of the time whenever Kha'Zix is present in your games. This is usually a bad thing as it increases the visual polution in the game.

You can have it on just when Kha'Zix is nearby, thus giving his position away and destroying any hope of surprise element (which should, in concept, be core to an assassin).

You can have it visible only when Kha'Zix is visible to you, which won't help you in the overwhelming majority of situations.

Any situation where he is not assassinating from stealth.

When he ganks and you're kiting him around minions/tower. If he is standing on a ward on the other side of dragon pit wall while you're taking it with your jungler. When he's running around in a teamfight while his stealth is down.

literally any time he isnt stealth and is visible. You act like he's invisible 99% of the time like eve.

You see, the problem with your logic is that Kha'Zix is an assassin who can be invisible.

If you are relying on an indicator to tell you when you are isolated, you will be dead before you even see him.

Again, rank has nothing to do with this. I don't play Kha'Zix, and I won't ever play him. I could be at Gold and not play Kha'Zix. You don't have to show your ass. Regardless of that little outburst, it's still common sense to know when you're isolated and when you're not. Additionally, being that this is a computer run game, calculations that have already run (as in, if he attacked you and then you become not-isolated as the attack is resolving), the damage would most likely still treat you as isolated if the minion didn't come near enough before the damage was calculated.

Then why would you be against a small indicator saying you're isolated?

Can literally be 1 pixel out of range of a teammate out of the 2 million pixels on the screen for a 10th of a second and you're isolated.

Kha is retardedly over powered right now and it doesn't help that there's no clarity of when he's going to do 1000 damage or 300 damage on hit. Giving time for players to reposition or rethink their position to get near a teammate.

Because that kind of indicator offers you too many ways to counter Kha'Zix. He's effectively worthless without isolation, and if you 100% of the time know when you can shit on him, he becomes an invalid.

Draven becomes effectively worthless without his Q. You know 100% of the time when his Q is active.

I know how many bullets Jhin has at all times. I know 100% of the time when he is on his 4th shot and I'm full health, I can all-in him.

It's called weakness.

part of balancing champions comes with ways to actually fight against them.

B00B001 votes

ok, i just checked the Kha Zix main sub-reddit and i stand corrected, minions do count, however if you are in the air and have Q'd (so its queuing up basically for when you land) it applies isolation, even if they have gotten out of range (indicator has disappeared after your jump)

  • so let me get this straight you are actually complaining about being good with his isolation mechanic? I'm now confused as to why your bothered by this, as an enemy i find it easy to dodge isolation, more so now i know minions (but not jungle ones) apply, i didn't know that and thanks for bringing it to my attention.

can you help me understand why exactly your like this? I'm sure you know the range as a Kha player naturally is this just a QoL nerf/buff you would like?

Literally busted as fuck champ that anybody can first-time and get fed. I don't like to play Kha, just as I don't like to play Zac because they're broken as fuck. I only pick them if I'm on a loss spree because it's impossible to lose.

If your ally is near you, you're not isolated. If your ally is off screen or at the far edge of your screen and you're at the opposite end, you are isolated. This isn't hard to comprehend. If you know a Kha'Zix is hunting you or may be hunting you, hug a tower or call your jungler to help. Seriously, this isn't rocket science. And your behavior towards people clearly shows that rank is absolutely no indication of game knowledge.

Having isolation appear all throughout the game, including things like clearing the jungle or walking through your base, would look a bit cluttered and confusing.

Additionally, there is no indicator for enemy ranges, so you have to generally know how far Caitlyn can fire vs how far Vayne can fire. This isn't bad game design, it doesn't cause clarity problems, it's just something players come to learn. The same holds true for Kha'Zix. Maybe you should play him more and learn how he works before calling for a witch hunt because you got tilted.

The community in this forum is kinda hypocritical. They know you're right but they don't accept it because they dislike that you are moaning in your thread. If you just said i think khaz should have more counterplay to him thinking how other assassins like talon have, for a healthy gameplay. You would have seen the difference in comments. Since you're in diamond you know alot more than i do and i agree that there should be a counter to his outburst, i mean asking for counterplay is not saying gutting a champ which people are completely and utterly neglecting here. You want to get better and you want ways to do so and i respect that. Don't bother with the as.s hole community too much.

Yeah.

If you've read what they said it's stupid shit like "common sense if you're not near a teammate than you're isolated" If the indicator that somebody's isolated is just being near somebody, then why does Kha get a circle around you for an indicator? If he has an indicator saying he'll do 5x more damage, why don't the enemies get to know?

These people are so stupid. The forums is 99% bronze/silver so I wouldn't expect anything more from them than this.

The point of assassin's is to jump on you when you least expect it/When you're most vulnerable AKA when you have no one to help you out, kha'zix basiclly takes it to the next level so having a warning mark (seeing isolation when his near) will destroy the whole point of him being an assassin.

Rengar can leap from 30s long stealth and destroy you, Zed and ekko can blink to you and destroy you, Kha'zix forces you to be a bitch and stick to your teamates and if you will be a bitch you wont get destroyed. Simple as that.

Kha can jump to you from stealth and push a 1 second cooldown, point and click ability for 1000 damage
