I think that's a pretty big generalization, and you're forgetting actual mechanical skill, which is a massive factor. You can be an idiot and take terrible fights, but if you hit all your Ez Q's then you're going to appear to be incredibly strong. From Bronze - mid Plat I'd say the biggest factor is game sense, because i've seen Bronzies dodge every skillshot and land their own, only to overextend and then lose off of that. They clearly know how their champs work, and how to play against the enemy team, but are too bloodthirsty. Then I'll see a Plat simply not feed, make one good move all game after doing nothing (A plat 1 nami who missed 8 bubbles in a row in laning phase comes to mind, only to land a 3 man bubble after a Zac engage) but will only take winnable fights and win from there. Clearly didn't know how to utilize her champ properly, and didn't know how to ward to set up good fights. Of course, Plats are generally better than Bronzies, but IMO that whole range has the potential to be a crapshoot.
Sauce: G5, play against diamonds with some regularity in normals, best friend is bronze
