Stormriders Surge appriciation thread

Can't help but feel this mastery is very underrated just because it does not give you extra damage, however it gives you amazing safety/chasing power/practical immunity to slows and has a very low cooldown

I am a Sona one trick and I don't think I could live without it after using it for so long, it saves my ass and gets me kills countless times every game Having to explain my keystone choice in like 1/3rd of my games because people don't understand that extra safety from trading as Sona is invaluable and that you can proc it on a squishy with your q passive at level 3/5 onwards and it just feels good to be speeding away while exhausted.

I assume many assassins and quick burst champions would love this mastery too, I only ever see Kha'zix using it, but I think assassins with less reliable escape options like Akali and Talon should not be forgetting that this mastery exists.

As a Gangplank main, I can easily imagine why it must feel so good in Situations. I don't take Stormraiders on GP, but my passive MS boost whenever I proc my passive/ detonate a barrel works really similar :P

I imagine it would be amazing on GP considering he can deal massive chunks of damage to virtually anyone, even tanks

Yeah, but as I mentioned before, he already has a very similar tool in his passive. I can imagine it as a very situational option, when playing VS yi for example because he won't get slowed, so you you might be able to outrun him with Stormraiders. But in general, it's just better to get that Thunderlords damage on your ultimate or that Grasp proc on Q.

I love it on Ekko, even though it is redundant. You can charge at them, do ~30-50% of their health, and sprint away. Then kill them once the w comes back up.

It's amazing on Illaoi actually. Can't keep me off you with it.
