Yup thats exactly how I started. First ranked game like 7 gold and 3 mid silvers.
For kicks there were even people from the same clan/group whatever on both sides talking to each other.
It was sad.
After that game the "pre placement" said I was bronze 4 so I started getting lower and lower ranking players.
Ended up officially placed b4 and idk how or why I got that first g/s game but it sucked (me and top fed hard lol)
My only guess is that, the mmr guesses everone is about 50+%ish wr
