SO many champions, ESPECIALLY tanks, have such incredibly cool crit animations! Even mages do! As Tidal Tyrant suggests, procs would be amazing as well as we would get to see the crit animations of the many mages out there.
(If you go to lolking's model viewer you can take a look at all the bad-ass crit animations you never get to see ingame.)
