Maybe as part of her passive some of her AP could be converted into AD and some of her AD could be converted into AP. For her abilities they would have both AP and AD ratios. This could emphasize her hybrid playstyle more than it does now. Obviously this just wouldn't be tacked on into her kit but would be one part of the overall rework. Thoughts?

Have you guys ever thought about having AP feed into Armor pen and AD feed into magic pen? That would seem pretty cool and It wouldnt make her a tower buster

ExecutorDill1 votesI'd start first with taking a thematic approach and keeping her iconic abilities. The sad thing is the only thing I find iconic on akali is her twilight shroud and even thought it makes her invisible the shroud is self telecast the area she is.
Her passive, Q, E and R needs scrapping. I'd make her kit centered around the use of twilight shroud rather than make it so it's just an escaping tool when things get heated.

That may sound weird. But she has a weird kit that's "I can't farm minions, so I guess I'll farm champions." An older playstyle that really isn't supported anymore. (Cause anyone who can farm champs is clearly oppressive.)
Probably what you would have to do is give her some better tools for wave clear. Or give her better dueling potential, probably attached to her Shroud. (perhaps both.)

If u have both, u get more spell vamp, giiving her more ability to dive and come out alive, and her autoattacks deal more damage

Dies lrae1 votesSounds like a nice idea at first, but then you would have to take in account of the turret update awhile back. If she was to receive this as a passive, then she would be the strongest tower destroyer in the game. Imagine, an Akali, capable of destroying a turret faster than a Kogmaw who has a 5.0 Attack speed, or a Nasus with 600 stacks on his Q. At least with KogMaw he has to be stationary, thus being vulnerable, or as with Nasus it would take time to reach high stacks. However with Akali it would be natural at any level.

Dies lrae1 votesThe way you see it, and the way I see it, are completely different. I see her AAs being equivalent to Vi's E on a turret. Magic damage on hit is far different than high/moderate AD and high AP when vs a tower.

ItemsGuy1 votesI'm not really sure what you mean by hybrid playstyle here--it sounds like you're saying "Akali should be able to build AD and/or AP and still do just about the same thing" which isn't as much of a hybrid playstyle as, say, AD Kog'Maw wanting to focus down single targets from range and AP Kog'Maw wanting to poke down as many people as possible from a much greater range.
The general problem with "hybrid champs" in most of their iterations (like Akali and Jax) is that, rather than giving players some sort of way to alter their playstyle based on their build, they just kinda build both AD and AP and deal a lot of damage with it.
The Loveless1 votesI mean honestly, she wields kamas. Nothing magic about those, though I understand she's a very early champ. She should be a physical dps champ - still pumps out huge damage and benefits from vamp and lifesteal, and as a plus for her enemies she won't buy zhonyas.
I used to play around with full ad builds on her when Ravenous Hydra first came out. The play style is enormously fun as you can get good waveclear with that item, and heal from an aoe.
