@RiotRepertoir: What is the current status on Fiddlesticks?
Now, I'm not some kind of hardcore Fiddle-player, but recently people necroed my old Thread with a rework concept for our favourite scarecrow in it, apparrently thinking it would get the attention of some reds - something that is not really likely to happen as one bump usually drowns under the flood of stuff that usually comes out on this board - so I thought I might do an extra thread specifically adressing a red.
The link to the thread is here: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/qwlFEEML-why-are-scarecrows-scary-a-thread-about-fiddlesticks
In that thread I tried to work out the question of WHAT makes a bunch of sticks and cloth scary in the first place. As an result I wrote this small text:
Imagine being out in the country, the sun is setting and you are looking into the distance. There is literally nothing for miles apart from the road, the fields and this ugly as fuck thing someone has put up to shoo the birds away. You barely pay any attention to it until you slowly notice something. Wasn't this thing supposed to be a little more to the left? Meh, maybe it's just the summer heat messing with your brain... The next moment you look at it it seems like it's looking at you. You have no idea why, but you could have sworn that it had turned a little towards you. You keep an eye on it, but nothing happens, no matter how long you watch it. A crow flies down and sits down behind the scarecrow. "What a useless thing", you think, "Doesn't even keep birds away...".
So you look away again, but when you look back a second later there is no doubt that something is wrong: the scarecrow has moved about fiften steps towards you. There was no sound, apart from the wind blowing through the fields. It's not moving. It just hangs there, completly lifeless - until you blink and it's suddenly even closer to you. Even more crows gather around you, but they are strangely silent, so you don't even notice them at first. Irritated you stumble backwards, keeping an eye on that weird thing that shows no intention of actually moving. You run, leaving that cursed place, but then you notice something and stop. In front of you a murder of crows sits on the ground, all of the birds staring on you as if they are waiting for something. _Before you turn around, you realize that it was a great mistake to stop running, as you feel an unnatural breath reeking of hay and cloth on your neck. It's the last thing you notice before the darkness consumes you... _
After that I worked out a more fleshed out concept together with another boards used called Varnoc in that thread... should be easy to find. Core aspects involve: Fiddle's using multiple scarecrows he teleports in between when enemy has no vision on the scarecrows ("as long you look at it it does not move, the moment you look away it comes alive and kills you"), E becomes a swarm of crows that denies vision, Drain is AoE, etc etc, we maybe went a little bit too wild on that one <_<
I'd be happy if you could voice your opinion to the thread I linked, but just getting information on the status of Fiddlesticks would be enough too... he's a really old champion that does not really live up to his potential that his theme offers - in addition to gameplay&counterplay problems.
