This is exactly how I feel about League as well. I am tired of too much change.

You don't have to agree with everything he says. Some changes or reworks turned out better than others but it is the general message. League is not the game I used to enjoy any more because of all the changes for the sake of change and all the changes have burned me out of League. I can't play the game after a break without reading 2 books full of patchnotes, new items, new reworks, new abilities, new keystones, new forced meta with Riots flavour of the week and I am not having the same amount of fun i used to have. A lot of the changes have not improved the game.

I am not going to romantize old League and say everything used to be better but I am just not having fun or getting any satisfaction of playing League and for me the decline of League started during season 5 with the midyear juggernaut and mage update. That was a crucial moment in time where all the changes uppon changes uppon changes started happening and Riot started a new design path and we grew apart.

The only thing I got from that is that he is tired of the game being hard and wants it to be easier lol. Like literally this game is just too hard for y'all clearly.

All he did was babyrage about champ reworks that indeed were good to the game because they freshened up the champions themselves. I'm pretty sure Riot dislikes when a Champion released is played in another role other than it's intended role, but that doesn't stop people to continue playing these champs in roles they weren't meant for. People still play champions that aren't viable in a specific role so why would he think that's an issue? He's just upset that some of these old champs that have been played in other roles than there intended, which is completely based off emotion.

I think people literally have zero idea how to adapt to new changes and therefore automatically start hating the game. However, by no means does that stop you from playing the game in the first place? Y'all continue to play the even though you "hate" playing the game, then come to forums to "rant" about things over and over again. I agree these last few patches are rough, but honestly adapting to them isn't that hard.

Also, people are soooooo attached to this game. It's really sad to see how emotional tethered they are to a champion or even a gamemode for that sakes. Change happens all the time so why not accept it? People need to realize that the game becomes hard because you choose not to accept such changes and continue to romantize a fucking video game. Thinking about how good old League was back in the day will not help you to adapt to changes.

Or you just have no idea what different strategies and gameplays mean, one trick pony was a thing, you are forced like a dog to play certain style and certain champions by riot and you think you are good because you accept that? Pathetic.

You could be one trick pony and climb to heavens while having only 1 champion - not anymore, because the reworks, changes fuck everything up and you must play the flavour of the month and there is no point to pick something not as viable and spend some time, research, tests and make him work.

You are just a follower, a sheep, you cant invent or have imagination to play your own way, thus you think that these players are overomantizing or cant adapt to change, because they are bad? Maybe they dont want to play what everyone does, or dont want to follow certain strategy, just because of that. Remember that back in old league days every meta, everything was created by players and their experiments, thoughts. Double bruiser bot was viable, pretty much j4+pantheon in bot lane were unstoppable till like high diamond. And so on, now its stale shit, which is followed by sheeps.

I'm really confused. Where do you get the concept on one-tricking in my original statement? Or maybe I wasn't clear enough on my original post?

Your point on one tricking kinda works against itself. It's pretty obvious if your champion that gets nerfed or "unfavoured" in a certain patch it is going perform bad cause other picks will outclass that champion. However, one-tricks are literally dedicated to their champion and will play them regardless of it is good pick or not. This whole thing about calling a specific "playstyle" pathetic doesn't really make sense, Riot doesn't promote one tricks through their changes.

The new mechanics and changes are being introduced to us and this allows for new play styles to emerge. With the current patches, Duo mid lulu + jungle was a thing, Taric mid plus jg, people are playing bruisers bot lane because of the ADC changes. i don't Riot even intended for these things to even happen so your point on how players don't create the meta or new picks is not reliable. TP bot lane was definitely not intended by Riot, it was based off a player. I'm 100% sure bruisers being played bot lane was not intended with the recent ADC change, but players have adapted to these changes and created new picks.

Sooooooo in the end I do think players who constantly complain about how old League was great are still romanticizing the game. Change is hard for some and they will be left behind to those who can adapt to the fast pace League is changing. You have a choice whether you want to conform to the meta or not. Like literally no one is stopping from playing unconventional picks in specific roles, people still do that lol. Isn't that considered the same thing as people creating new meta with conventional picks in specific roles?

Reworks kill off one tricks, not that league evolves, its cool when meta switches, but riot is quick to "stop" all of that.

Now on the part of changes - thats why s9 was so bad, it felt like whole year of preseason and bad decisions, most dont want and will not invest so much time in just keeping UP, its not leaving the game fresh, its constantly throwing their unnecessary actions to "fix" things up and just "fuck" things up in the end. League bleeds, and bled a lot in season 9, if they keep that shitty attitude soon this game will die out. Starcraft is a perfect example how a game should evolve - aka only by the action of the players, not devs who constantly fiddle and changes things so every month there is a flavour of the month and simply there is no room left for players to adapt their own systems and playstyles. Even if something new emerges they are quick to nerf or make different changes to make that strategy NOT as viable, aka gold funneling, lvl 2 twitch under towers cheese, bot bruisers, ap mages at bot, etc, etc.
