@Riot will Trinity Force be looked at in the pre season?

So.... I feel that, as an item item 3078 has lost its identity as the triple stat mega machine we used to know.

For those who weren't around for it, item 3078 was adjusted with the marksman rework to fit the needs of said class. Its ap was removed, base ad and movespeed nerfed which were very valuable on hybrid champs like irelia, jax, kog maw and kha/hec to an extent.

In exchange, more appealing stats for marksman being mana and crit were buffed while cdr.... which was limited in option variety for marksman was added.

Sure most ap champs don't buy it. But that ap removal hurt so many semi-hybrids who either built ad with decent ap scaling (kog) or built full hybrid (kayle jax)

.

Then we saw another change that broke several champs. A substantial buff to cdr and atk speed smashed irelia, jax and hec back into the meta which cost the the same crit (in an effort to discourage yas from using it) they had buffed at the cost of ap

When it was a triple threat, it covered ap/mana, ad/as and hp/ms. Now it's duo force and is verging on monoforce. Ad, as, ms, hp, mana and cdr. It's just a bulk of AD caster centric stats with AS thrown in there.

Ezreal is probably the only champ who's remained relatively unscathed while synergising with it greater than anyone. Sure luc uses it, but he made good use of that crit and now uses crit or apen more often than item 3078.

.

My solution? Allot of changes. Firstly stat adjustments; NERFS Attack speed reduced to 20% from 40%** CDR reduced to 10% from 20% Mana reduced to 200 from 250 ^^

BUFFS Added 10% crit** Added 25 AP ^^ Movement speed increased to 8%

. As you can tell, allot of these are reverts. I chose not to alter values too much to be safe. Why is it practically a revert? Because that's what it'll take to have this triple threat return And in order to achieve these values certain items will need changes and so will the item recipe.

item 3086 will make its return, replacing item 3101 and return to its rightful place. To explain how the stats from zeal change when item 3078 is made: the crit is reduced and attack speed increased in exchange. The movement speed increase is your reward for completing item 3078.

item 3057 and item 3025: obviously with the addition of AP the cost of both items will increase but not by too much since mana was nerfed. This sheen cost increase will allow flexibility in the final combined cost of item 3078 . Enabling its 333 cost to remain intact.

. I feel these changes will not only make it stronger on its original users; susan, kogy, jax, hec, irelia, udyr, nid, perhaps morde? Idk and gangplank. But will also widen its usability on champs with these low but abundant AP scalings that perhaps would never have built it before.

Just my two cents lads, all feedback is welcome

Riot's been on a quest the past 2 seasons to streamline item stats for their intended users. Triforce is a bruiser/on hit carry item now, and they're not going to subtract power from the item just to add back worthless AP to the item, especially since this would require them to change Sheen as well.

I can understand that. But take ez jax skarner and kog as on hit carries/bruisers. All of which benifit from ap scalings on most of their spells, in some cases there's ap on every spell thus they would benefit greatly from ap rather than cdr(as a 10% and 20% option would open up)

And the people who built Ghostblade could benefit slightly from the 15% crit it used to have. Doesn't change the fact that the item had a bad stats profile that kept some of its intended users from buying it. Triforce finally has a clear purpose: Your one stop shop for tons of damage in a single item, but poor scaling with other items. Simply put: It's the item you get if you want a bunch of damage in the mid game without needing to dedicate several item slots to damage. This is why bruisers get it; they want to get their damage up to an acceptable level as quickly as possible and then build tank. Riot also wants this purchase to be as efficient as possible; the more efficient the buy, the better it is as an early item. Taking away Sheens AP and giving it CDR clarified its purpose while making it a more attractive option to champions that don't care for the AP. The fact that some Sheen users also liked the AP is irrelevant, because there were many that did not as well, and buying that AP felt bad on them, similar to how Avarice Blade felt awful to buy on assassins.

they benefit from the cdr/attack speed more than AP.

Those buffs you wanna put are so so so useless stats. And those nerfs are too much. Trinity needed a buff and now i see it why because tanks are dominating here as most ADC are too.
