They're friends and they literally play together. L2read.

And they mention an outlier. As if it ever mattered.

"Hey, look at this exception. Look how important it is." Bah

Grown-ups don't go to fun parties.

You literally have a name that is idolizing Urgot.

This is the pot calling the kettle black.

Yeah!

Why isn't your name "Shenpai Noticed Me"? Immortalize your love in name and deed, Melledoneus! Like me.

Melledoneus5 votes

I was considering it but then people wouldn't remember me from Melledoneus.

Melledoneus4 votes

I'd rather make a mega-thread coming up with usernames and asking people to vote on which one I should change it to.

look at this sheep who already changed their name and summoner icon to pretend to be a morde main!

Mordepool15 votes

Most can't pick up Morde and Win. He has on average one of the highest experienced group of core mains. Requiring alot of work for slightly above average gains. Seems kinda Bs if you ask me

kagepaladin3 votes

i can sit here and still play morde and enjoy my 309k mastery points and flash the juicy level 7 emote without worry when people call me a "sheep" XD

Malicious Metal15 votes

This. Expect his play rate to rise and his win rate to take a biiiig nose dive.

Velzard of Koz8 votes

Or maybe they'll manage to make him work well, his winrate will raise and we'll soon see some Morde nerfs :^) Muhahahahaha... Brekekeke... Muhehe....

THE RlVER KlNG2 votes

It's the same with most immobile bruisers except for maybe Darius

there's a lot more strategic depth to them involved, even if they are mechanically very simple

The Ecdysiast2 votes

That's like saying there was strategic depth to old Taric, but if old Taric had only one weakness instead of 20.

Stell10 votes

And every morde being seen as sheep. Just checked out of curiosity, and the guy just had morde games 9 days ago. But ofc every morde is now seen as sheep by sheep like you.

EROTIC RAID BOSS8 votes

on the bright side ahri got picked in a few games, maybe they'll finally nerf her now

Bisaknosp2 votes

thats why i've seen so many people picking her lol i was wondering why

Shaydrox3 votes

She always has a high pickrate : ^)

Slythion6 votes

what changed with Morde?

CancerBasedGod2 votes

Nothing. Meta isn't based off of buffs or nerfs... It's just people imitating recent picks by pros.

Slythion6 votes

Id say it has a bit to do with both, but I see your point

TeCoolMage7 votes

not a bit to do with both

a bit to do with buffs or nerfs, a lot to do with pro picks.

Tormentula69 votes

He got picked in LCS.

Which multiplies a champ's playrate more than a buff.

TotalJerk3 votes

Fucking autofilled blind picking MF supports.

KoKoboto2 votes

Nothing, Flyquest is just a great team who is able to work out new comps and understand why certain champions may or may not work although they're outta the meta. They adjust their playstyle accordinly, they got Zed mid and AD jungler I believe so they went with Morde to amp up the AP, they had low amounts of CC but had Nautilus which is a CC monster.

Hallbuster6 votes

I can't wait to ROFL stomp the players who play him, just because they think he's good.

KoKoboto5 votes

You guys are being really rude, you're also acting like Mordekaiser takes a lot of mechanical skill to pull off, the ONLY thing you really need to know is the value of maxing W now (which has been knowledge for Morde players for awhile now). Understanding this will make the Morde that does bad do exceptionally better. The playstyle of Mordekaiser is really simple as well. The only way I see the Mordekaisers failing is if they don't understand how to play bot lane as a no mobility melee range champion. When you're high silver and higher I think players will understand this weakness and be able to work around it.

Malicious Metal10 votes

Mordekaiser is a champion that has 0 mechanical skill.

He relies 110% on knowledge though, be it matchups, builds, general strategy and macro play, Morde is NOT a hard champion to get into, he's just a very good example of a champion that teaches you more about game knowledge.

Who needs positioning when you have Ahri or any other mobility champ?

Sun Wu Ryuumoku3 votes

He's a Juggernaut... obviously he's easy to play [slayer-pantheon-popcorn]

NightWind422 votes

the ONLY thing you really need to know is the value of maxing W now (which has been knowledge for Morde players for awhile now).

Tell that to Altec then. He let Hai die once because he simply didn't heal him when he could. https://puu.sh/uuIFr/e8bce1008a.jpg => Re-cast W (it was already one second after its first cast) to give Hai another 400 HP to work with (two champions were within range).

KoKoboto1 votes

Sounds like a mechanical error, everyone makes mechanical errors sometimes. Unless he consistently did this I don't see much of an issue. If it was consistent, this shows that Altec doesn't see the value of maxing W, he KNOWS to max W but doesn't understand why.

NightWind421 votes

I don't have my notes available on this computer, but it's happened 4 times in one game if I recall correctly.

manbearswine4 votes

Yes, all these morons following competitive picks without thinking, they should follow winrates without thinking instead.

Fucking sheep right?

i don't get it

I'm mocking the fact most people here(and the source of your upvotes), hate "competitive sheep"(people whose picks are influenced by the competitive scene), yet blindly follow winrate(aka "the one true god"), effectively being winrate sheep.

So sheep mocking sheep really,Fucking sheep right?

Mortekaiser3 votes

as much as I love morde he usually requires the opponent to have 0 clue how to interact. he practically screams "gank/camp me early and fuck me up fam" to the enemy jungler while your jungler also doesn't know how to play with him so he will never show up and gank for you.

he's a nightmare to play as in my soloqueue games simply because you let Jesus take the wheel when playing him and hoping things will fall into place.

(note: this is my solo laning experience, bot lane experience may vary)

The Ecdysiast2 votes

Bot lane is like solo lane, except instead of the enemy possibly picking Vayne or Quinn to kite you, you've guaranteed they picked someone who can kite you.

Almighty2 votes

And now Morde is going to get gutted even further.

Just like any other champion who has set foot on the LC$ stage.

Almighty.

Then the enemies go botlane Azir and make his life miserable xD

NightWind422 votes

That's questionable. Mordekaiser works with a melee support; Blitzcrank, Thresh (I count him melee as he's outranged by the ranged supports in their ways to attack), Leona, Nautilus, Trundle.

What do they have? All of them have a way to make the very-squishy Azir be in range of Mordekaiser. I really don't think it's a good idea to pull that off.

SH Azykan1 votes

if you think blitz is a threat to azir, who can literally just shift back out of range if he ever even does get hooked (morde and blitz cannot actually burst him) thats funny. you would actually have to take someone who can get morde onto azir AND keep azir from just e'ing away after to maintain any threat. and azir has a lot of zone pressure on morde as well, would be better off with a soraka keeping you healthy enough to farm (who's silence could also keep azir from escaping a jg gank as easy as well because he will inevitably shove morde in)

NightWind421 votes

(morde and blitz cannot actually burst him)

This is where I completely disagree. Let's see the damage that Mordekaiser and Blitz can deal at levels 3, 5 and 7, within the CC's duration (granted that Azir can't WQE before Blitz knocks him up, otherwise there's a high chance of him getting his dash cancelled).

Level 3: Blitzcrank's Q deals 135 damage, assuming he put a second point in it, his E has a 2 AD scaling. We're assuming Blitzcrank won't use his AA reset, lest Azir escape in the meantime (If Blitz takes W at level 3, this won't change anything as it will allow him to use a second basic attack during the knock-up, for a similar amount of damage). Mordekaiser's combo (without the third Q) hits for 175 + 3.6 total AD + 2.25 AP. Assuming Mordekaiser has AD marks, that's a total of 175 + 288 + 70 + 135 + 134 = 802 damage, before taking the ignite in account.

A level 3 Azir with Doran's Shield has 702 health. After 27% damage reduction from the resistances, he will end up with less than 10 hitpoints after taking the ignite in account.

Assuming he is full health. That would mean that he never took any minion damage (thus didn't even try to attack Mordekaiser at all), and that Mordekaiser never hit his W or E on him.

Level 5: Blitzcrank will deal 190 + 3 AD, Mordekaiser 285 + 3.6 AD + 2.25 AP. That's a total of 1086 + 150 true. Azir now has 862 hp. He's got a bit more armor, but no additional MR, so let's average his damage reduction at 28.5%. That means he'll take 924 damage, and be ded.

Level 7: There, Blitz and Azir will only be level 6, due to Mordekaiser's passive. I'm going to count, in order:

  • Blitz Q x1
  • Blitz R passive x1
  • Blitz R active x1
  • 4 basic attacks from Blitz (one during the ult's silence, then the attack reset with the E which deals the damage of two attacks, then one during the stun thanks to the AS boost).
  • Morde Q x2
  • Morde W x2
  • Morde W - Recast
  • Morde E
  • Morde R - 13.3% of Azir's max health over 2 seconds
  • Morde ignite

Mordekaiser recalled and purchased a Blasting Wand. That means that the combo will deal 540 + 4 AD for Blitz + 340 + 3.6 AD + 2.25 AP for Mordekaiser + 13.3% of Azir's health + 190 true damage. Which equals 540 + 308 + 340 + 360 + 155 + 125 = 1828, 448 of which is physical.

Let's now count the resistances: 1344, or 1534 with ignite. Azir has 942 HP. All of this supposes that Mordekaiser doesn't even have DFT, and has Stormraider. I didn't take in account the damage-enhancing masteries - the damage would on average otherwise be 8% higher from Mordekaiser.

Do you really think Azir can't be bursted down by them now?

would be better off with a soraka keeping you healthy enough to farm

Absolutely never. As Mordekaiser, you want to have a support tank that provides engage tools. Never a sustain/poke support. You want Blitz, Thresh, Nautilus, Leona, Trundle. You want someone who can go forward and start applying your W, as well as speeding you up, before you can join the fray with your mace. You want someone who can provide CC for you to deal your damage. You want a towerdive buddy. And you want to make sure that your team won't lack engage tools, since you neeed these things as Mordekaiser.
