Darius was a mediocre/troll pick unless you were amazing at using him since his ult nerf early season 3(removing full reset).

He hadn't been good/decent until recently with his rework which finally made him useable.

And what does everybody say now that he's good?

"Riot shows favoritism to melees xD"

"Riot is a bunch of Darius mains making this op champion so good xD"

"Pre rework Darius was op as hell, they just buffed the shit out of him for no reason and called it a rework xD"

Please look up the facts before you spew this, I know he's strong but doesn't mean Riot has a boner for him which is why they left him strong and a viable pick.

I really like Darius now...but the sad fact is that he has no problems with his counters. After the 5.16 patch I played vs Teemo, vs Jayce...and I never lost the lane versus them. Because of the great sustain offered by the heal on Q. Yesterday, Darius wasn't banned in ranked and I picked him. Guess what? Domminate my lane, Pentakill...they baited me in 1v3 and I kill them all...and victory. Now, whenever I need a win I pick Darius. Btw, since the rework I played 40 games with him and I won 26. So it's pretty good...but if you fall behind and don't manage to get some early kills, you won't be as usefull as you expect. And for the people who complain about Darius...just pick Garen. And don't let him snowball. Btw, he has no escape...so ganking him early(but not win 40-50% hp) will be enough for stop him.

Darius never truly had problems vs Teemo, a little with Jayce but Teemo was fine.

Renekton actually does screw him up way harder than before now. Riven got harder for him as well. Darius' weaknesses now lie in people who can dictate trades quicker than he can. With his pull fixed, he has a harder time getting people to stay in fights with him as well. However late game he's nearly uncontested in durability, doesn't mean he won't crumple if he gets focused though. Also, get QSS/Mikael's and deny the bleeds, yo.
