In this case, I think the ping-ponging balance issues say more about the new meta than they do about Galio's rework. Nonetheless, not all champions are going through this, so Galio's "new" kit seems to be relatively sensitive.
RyzenLord1 votesHis damage curve is why he was played a lot mid. His identity before rework was super tanky mr stacking mage. Now it's pretty much just a mage who gets a magic shield. When his scalings are really good, he will be built ap. When his base damage is better, he will be built tank. Galio used to stack mr items, but now you pretty much build just like a mage. They destroyed his identity and can't balance him for pro play without making him weak.

It DOES help that even though I had an early pick, the enemy team then picked Akali mid and Nunu jungle....
