Tip for new and low elo players struggling with unlocked camera

This tip requires a razer naga mouse, which can be bought off ebay for ~$15-25 refurbished.

This tip will allow you to effortlessly move your camera with WASD key set-up. I had a really hard time transitioning to MOBAs from World of Warcraft. Eventually, I did learn most of the mechanics, but camera control had always been my weakness.

Locked camera puts you at a huge disadvantage, so this is an alternative. I use these settings now, and they got me out of silver. It makes champions like aurelion sol or champs that require excellent positioning MUCH easier to play. Because you won't have to be clicking all over the place to control the camera, you can just focus on the manipulation of your champion. If you're struggling with dodging skill shots, this trick will also make dodging skill shots very easy. It took me about 25 games to get used to this set-up, but it was worth it.

I'm so used to it now that it's just second nature. I need to get better at the F1-5 Keybinds though.

25 seems a bit too slow tho if you want to make flashy plays tho...

It...does put you at a disadvantage? I don't see how. Well, I kinda can, for clicking on tiny things (like the damned blast cones). But for everything else, it's just so much easier for me.

Then again, I do use unlocked a lot to see what's going on in other parts. But in general, everyone I play I don't need to see off-screen to do anything with (with the rare exception of a global Ashe ult. Even with Shen, I just click on the portraits to ult). I mean...I haven't yet run into any problems that stem from me using locked versus unlocked...Hmm.

Could I get any input as to why it's important?

Nothing is more tilting than getting into a team fight and suddenly finding your camera is off somewhere you're not. I assume I've clicked the map and that's why I suddenly can't see the fight I'm in. This doesn't happen very often, but when it does, the swearing I do is profound.

I'm not likely to get a special mouse to game with, but thanks for the tips.
