Can we stop making up excuses about how frustrating and obnoxious most assassins are

Didn't cheese them at level 3? Get ready to farm under tower post 6 and still die because just bounces away and just teleports back to his shadow and towers are weak af. can travel through your entire jungle via the bushes undetected by wards and literally one shot you with dark harvest. So much fun.

Also, take a look at the ban rates. It seems the vast majority of the playerbase agrees with me.

Zed, Yasuo and Darius - most banned champions for 4 years straight. STRANGE. Why would that be...

And those days it looks like people woulrd rather play vs that Darius than some assassins or new champions... Hmmmm...

Does any assassin main on the Boards even advocate that? I think the general consensus is that assassins are decent to strong in pretty much any format played by normal humans, and only bad in pro play because of how heavily protected marksmen are, not because of mages. If anything, I've seen more threads asking for reverts to Talon and criticizing Zed (rightfully so), than threads asking for mages to be nerfed.

Riot wants assassins to be decently represented in pro again. What are we going to say that's gonna stop them from doing this? Posting solo queue stats is not a counterargument to pro play stats. Riot's going to keep hard buffing assassins because the other option is to make mages worse than assassins are at waveclear or gut the hell out of support strength which would cause a much bigger shitstorm imo. Solo queue is going to remain assassin paradise and pro play is going to stay almost devoid assassin picks until something changes. I'm obviously biased toward assassins being strong but they can definitely use some changes right now.

Also where are these assassin mains because there are like 3-5 people here who post anything about assassins that isnt negative and we get downvoted regardless of what we post even if we ask people to not blatantly lie about the numbers on their tooltips.

The simple fact is its a question of kill pressure and snowball. Assassins get the first at level 2 or 3 and the 2nd after a kill or two. Mages tend to wait for 6 to have anything resembling kill pressure, and need a LOT more kills to come close to a snowball.
