Yes, yes. I know dropping down a whole tier is harsh. But there is a big reason why this happens every year. The thing is, that there are a large amount of players that actually play AWFUL and manage to stick in that tier and get carried out by their mates and remain there. This is due to the nature lol is a teamgame and there needs to be a reset to cull these type of players so they will be in their rightful place. This is very effective for silver tier since it compresses the whole bronze and former silvers into one tier to test them all out and then pit the winners against the former golds stragglers. See? It is highly efficient.
