As an avid AD malzahar player
You guys somehow managed to redesign him in a way which overall he is more reliant on his voidlings than the pre-patch AD malz. While also making the voidlings more inconsistent.
I've been pissed about the malz rework since i first played it, and i think i can finally tell exactly where the rework fall flat on it's face. Malzahar's kit no longer feels like it's a whole kit, rather it's just a single ability (W: void swarm) and 3 complementary abilities. Then an OP passive tacked on. The new passive has about as much to do with the rest of his kit as pre-patch zyra's did with hers.
E's extremely nerfed damage makes it's primary role directing the attention of your voidlings. Q's nerfed damage and CD makes it almost obvious it's main purpose is to refresh your E, so that your voidlings can speed boost longer. R's only real use it to lock the target down to let your voidlings (who hopefully have already been amassed), pile onto the target... oh and refresh your E.
You guys changed the complementary part of malzahar's old kit, into the focal point of his new kit, and it's so inconsistent. The new voidlings don't even deal consistent damage anymore like you could with the old voidlings. The new voidlings are just a form of delayed burst damage, that sometimes will not ramp up properly, where as the old version was a very consistent damage pattern.
Honestly this whole patch seems like it was a lot of non-mage players redesigning mage kits.
