Player are asking to reduce damage from the game (expecially burst damage) and riot is nerfing the utility part (escape tool in particular) of a sustained damage dealer champ. This nerf probably is aimed to hit support shen but it's still a nerf to both role. Shen don't need nerf atm even if he's played in pro scene. I'm sure riot in the near future will end buffing him like they did for poppy (turning more into a bruiser rather than tank) or it will be buffed to his ap ratio like they did to gragas and sejuani ("Basically a tank with a squishy ap build but with a burst damage option").

I really hate this. Shen is one of the biggest fan-favorite / pro played tanks in the game, and they're nerfing him instead of anything that is ACTUALLY problematic right now.

The power of competitive play.

Shen is already shit outside of competitive but because a few pro players find success on the champion, Riot nerfs him. He's in the same boat as Galio, Ornn, Azir and Ryze. And I can guarantee you Riot is going to do absolutely nothing to at least allow us casual plebs to have a playable champion.

I doubt Riot would touch his AP scaling. There are no AP options for Shen aside from Nashor's, Guinsoo's and Deathcap. His passive scales off his HP, his Q doesn't apply spell effects, his E is physical damage that scales with his health and his ult's AP ratio is actually pretty high, but that just exacerbates the "ult bot" aspect of Shen.

I feel like this is unnecessary. But maybe it'll make room for some damage buffs on his early q to make last hitting and dueling more reasonable.

Don't forget TP cool down increased by 1 minute. Say "hi" to your turret and laning phase... lol... laning phase... as soon as I use my R twice now I mathematically lost turret and lane since I can't TP. Like if before it was ok. Anyway I'll keep updating my wall of text about the USELESS Shen.
