Seriously? He has like close to an 80% ban rate. Thats super high. Since is his ban rate is so high his win rate never goes up. Thats when you know there is a seriousl problem.

It's actually really funny to look at the champion.gg stat for him. Apparently, .15% of Ekko players have been able to play him more than 15 times. You read that right, 15% of 1%.

And his winrate is still decent.

Generally, the lower the pick rate the higher the win rate.

Once the pick rate increases a champion's win rate decreases exponentially.

that would be true for niche picks that only work as counterpicks, but not for a new champ noone has really trained much with yet.

Why is Sejuani permaban status? This confuses me, she has hard counters. I haven't lost a game in ranked to a Sejuani in a few patches. She also just got nerfed.

But yeah, Ekko's pretty broken. Riot needs to give him more risks since his kit is so safe.

That door swings both ways. Learning to play a champion and learning to play against it. Given that he's still a recent addition to the game, I'd predict that his winrate should be fairly low, because not knowing how to play a champion well lowers the win rate.

Despite the low play rate, people still do well with him. That is the champion.

Perhaps because players go against him twice, call him bullshit, come to the forums to cirlejerk and then gain a mind-set that they no longer should be required to play against him.

that's also a valid way of looking at it, just glancing at G&B boards and seeing a "I hate Ekko" thread gain 8 upvotes with zero responses in for several minutes.

I've fought against competent players that even see through my usual tricks and avoid them with ease, rendering me useless and wondering why I didn't just pick Diana or Talon.

I've seen low ELO, high ELO and pro players call bullshit on Ekko. I came to the determination myself that I think he's horribly designed. I could rehash the arguments in 1,000 threads before, but we'll just have to agree to disagree.

And I do respectfully disagree. Ekko desperately needs changes.

Nobody in high elo is calling Ekko bullshit.

Most Diamonds actually find him exceptionally weak for the drawbacks he has and rather play more reliable assassins over Ekko.

If you're banning Ekko over any of the following champions you're a fool: Katarina Leblanc Ryze Riven Irelia MonkeyKing Nautilus Leona Blitzcrank Sejuani Amumu Annie Nidalee Jinx Ashe

Seriously. Any of the above champions has had tons of proven success in soloqueue. They're all high priority picks that even average players can perform well on and carry. If you're wasting a ban slot on Ekko, that's just facepalm.
