Thresh is the most picked support Silver +
I wonder why he would be picked so much?
Totally not because he's one of the most overloaded if not THE most overloaded champion in the game, and has very little risk in lane with high rewards.

no no, being able to force movement, crowdcontrol and gap close all in one ability is totally fair because its a tiny bit hard to cast. Actually no, i take that back, the hitbox on the hook makes it actually really easy to use. Not to mention you can always just flash flay and then guaranteed land it. he clearly also needs free ap and armor and free extra damage on auto attacks too. As well as giving any adc an insane getaway and zoning people out of teamfights. Totally fair. Theres a reason thresh forces so many flashes in lcs. he is op as hell.
http://na.op.gg/statistics/champion/ look at this, scroll down to 93. Soraka is in the top 10 highest win rate. Thresh isn't OP, the stats prove that to be correct.
That doesn't change the fact that his kit is overloaded and strong.
I laugh for a second and then facepalm every single time I see someone trying to make an argument using winrates. Thresh is the perfect example of how shitty winrates truly are. I can't understand how incompetent someone would have to be to actually try using it for him. Claiming he's not just an under-powered champion, but somehow amongst the weakest in the game?
Ok, lets look at skill level. If that were the case, then soraka, lulu, morgana, janna, and tahm kench would all be broken simply due to their kits. Thresh has all kinds of counterplay, dodge his hook WOOOOOOO, you got a chance to go in. Missed the flay? Can be punished. Used lantern 5 seconds ago? Their carry has no escape unless its a dash or flash. Thresh's kit is based on decision making, unlike soraka who can give her team an incredibly toxic amount of healing back while being at a safe distance. Janna provides disengage, engage, peel, healing and shields for her carries(no one says shes broken). Lulu provides a damage buff, shield, knockup, 2 slows, and a speed buff (still not broken). Morgana has a black shield, 5 year snare/stun/slow(still has counterplay). If you wanna make an argument based on an overloaded kit, look at Tahm Kench. That catfish bastard has a 2 slows that are up almost instantly, a stun, and a passive that doesn't have a cooldown, while still dealing a ton of damage based on percent health. Thresh has a hook that doesn't pull the enemy far in, a flay that can counter dashes/PBAOE stun, a lantern and a slow. If we looked at everyone's kits, then EVERYONE would be broken. Thresh is just a well balanced champion for multiple team comps.
I think the problem with Thresh being extremely good in soloQ is his lantern. A good Thresh will know when he and his adc might be in trouble so he stays back and throws his lantern whenever he feels being threatened. No other support can babysit the adc as effectively. Adc have the tendency of overextending, so it's important that the support can help them get away.

i agree if saved by a thresh hook chasing is pointless
Op is full of crap, nothing to see here he is just salty after a bad game against a thresh.
Didn't even lose to a Thresh, but man fuck that champion on my team and the enemy team. It feels so garbage how much everything he has.
maybe its becuase hes jsut a safe pick that can find a way to be useful in any team comp. But advanced concepts like that is difficult for you to consider i guess.
Yeah, but I have not seen any other champion that is as safe as he is that fits in every comp, and by the way. I do understand the concept, but no champion should be like that. I guess it's just too advanced of a concept for you.
Because he has a kit where you have multiple options or combos in different situations which makes him fun unlike other supports who literally do the same exact thing in every situation.
Use your head a little and think for yourself because then you would realize playing against a Thresh is a lot better due to his skill requirement than playing against a Janna who completely stomped the game by pressing a few button with minimal thinking.
Thresh is retarded and also does the same thing over and over. You can't act like he doesn't with your post.
