It's clear, most people hate support

So why does it have to be a required role?

If most people playing the game hate that position then why is it forced and required for it to be a part of the game

EDIT: Oh and btw I forgot to mention, support is my 2nd favorite role after mid. So yeah I do actually know a thing or two about it. Doesn't change my opinion that it either needs to be removed from the game or altered drastically.

I love support, I just hate arrogant, self righteous, unaccountable ADCs...

This...it's my favorite role but having to play babysitter with obnoxiously toxic adcs who whine and cry the entire game every other game takes away the fun of it.

i main support and love the idea and role... yet i still hate it LOL as dumb as that sounds. support is the most impossible role to advance divisions with. you have no power to carry a game. the only way you win is if you have a full team of kids that are well above the division they are in... like 2 gold div 1 kids in a bronze match. then you say stop feeding and being a bad kid and get reported for being "toxic" name a single game in the history of existence that doesnt have a community that is at least 75% kids that thrive on talking shit and actually mean no harm... suck it the fuck up and take it with a grain of salt. bunch of butt hurt american 12 year olds that report for literally anything and everything including things that dont need to be reported... game is garbage anymore.

See just because theres a small minority of people such as all of you, doesn't justify forcing the much larger majority to deal with it IMO.

Its like if you have 10 people and 1 of them like ice cream and the other 9 hate it, yet every time you go out to eat you have to find someone to come with that likes ice cream so you can stop off at the shop and watch them eat a cone.

When ADC's stop being a thing, then we'll stop seeing supports.

People hate it because everyone wants to be the star of the show and HATE having others do the carrying, despite the support being the one to enable the carrying to begin with

I'm pretty sure that's completely false.

People hate support because they hate getting stuck with trash ADC players which means your entire role is superfluous.

I'm gonna disagree with you there. Not only is Support the least liked role but Mid is far and away the most liked, which is primarily because they have the most agency over the game by being a solo lane in the shortest and most important lane while also being able to roam bot or top. Being the star is generally much more desirable with a lot of competition.

Because it wins games.

You don't need to play support. I've seen lots of kill lanes that are like Xin/Kallista or Poppy/Vayne.

You don't need to play a traditional support character.
