M6 Malphite? Gosh you better not lose in the losing matchup against a 
that is hard pushing under tower without being ganked.
M7 support? You're trolling if your ADC has no wave control or presence and you don't win the 2v1.
Just make this display optional so we can avoid these shitty situations in games.

People in low ELO equate champion mastery points to being a smurf, so if you make a mistake or get hard counter match up, it's all anyone talks about.

They'll make fun of you either way. They'll chide you for having so many mastery points , but not M7 yet, as well.
We all know, that if enough games are played, or with Champion in off-role, M7 is not too difficult to achieve. Riot doesn't want to distract too much from the endorsed goal of rising in ranked play.
