Riot needs to be careful with buffing Cocoon

On the PBE right now, Elise has the following changes:

Cocoon stun duration: 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 seconds > 1.6 / 1.7 / 1.8 / 1.9 / 2 seconds

Spiderling damage: 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 (+ 10% AP) physical damage > 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 (+ 15% AP) magic damage Spiderling movement speed: 345 > 355

The spiderling changes are great, everyone has complained about her spiderlings for quite a while. They could probably still do with a buff to their tankiness but increasing their damage and making it magic is a hugely nice change, giving her more incentive to build AP and allowing her to itemise for magic pen better than ever. Making them faster is obviously great too, as they have classically struggled to keep up with their targets.

However, the Cocoon change scares me. The initial change of making it 1.5 seconds at all levels was amazing but starting at 1.6 and ending at 2? That's the best the spell has ever been, much stronger than it was when Elise was one of the game's strongest champions. Don't get me wrong, I think Cocoon needed changes. Putting it at 1.5 seconds at all levels like a few days ago would be the perfect change imo, but making it as strong as the current PBE iteration makes me worried that stun bot tank Elise will return to the top tiers.

At least promise that if Elise gets too strong with these changes you'll nerf Cocoon's duration, because her damaging abilities have taken enough hits and she really doesn't need a 1.6-2 second stun. The spiderling changes are a dream come true and Cocoon being buffed early is too, but there really should be trade-offs with a 60% increase to the early game duration.

When Elise was top tier in s3, she had damages and enough range to do really well. Now, it is not anymore the case imo. In other words, her cocoon is not so easy to land as it was before her nerfs. Of course, she will be stronger (not OP) in early game. However, her current problems hide in late game. But, apparently, Riot feign ignorance about that (and it won't be the spiderlings which will remedy it).
