Imagine how broken that would be if teamfights lasted that long.

Imagine how broken it would be if you were on a team full of noobs who dont even use their game changing aoe ults 8 seconds through a teamfight.

I mean teamfights are over in like 5 seconds anyway so doesnt make a whole lot of difference

Riot just solidifying the game play that everyone is fucking furious about by introducing mechanics that limit their design space.

That's really what riot was trying to do with their class updates, tear down enough of the existing game, so that they could build a new one without having to support the old.

Well, it depends on how he is meant to be played? What kind of "mimic" champion is he meant to be? Is the spell-stealing central or is it a bonus mechanic?

Then the problem is if his base kit without his ultimate is balanced. If he is able to kill targets without stealing anything then perhaps having an 8-second cooldown is grossly unfair. If his base abilities are weaker and meant to supplement whatever he steals with his R then perhaps that is fair enough. Rapidly throwing out stolen abilities has always been cool.

Could potentially fix things by making his ultimate some sort of skill-shot. Still, allow it to target a specific champion so that it can't just be blocked by a throwaway target. The skill-shot could chase the target but have a limited range?
