Whatever happened to Dragon having more than 1 attack?

Remember when the new map was previewed? Dragon had like 5 different attacks it could use, not just a "I breef fire and it asplodez". @Riot @Morello

IIRC when they did that they also made it much easier to avoid a lot of the damage. Then people were soloing/duoing it really early with certain champs and taking almost no damage. Since it wasn't really doing what they wanted they pulled the changes.

You can still take most junglers and solo it at level 3. Level 6 for most other junglers.

Sorry, don't check the forums but a few times a day. WW like you said, Poppy is also one, Yorick and Nunu I believe? Elise maybe. I'd have to go through and try with more of them for this latest patch, but those are just off the top of my head. Obviously you have to grab health pots and have the right runes/masteries and specifically be going for that early dragon, but it's possible.

EDIT: I'm assuming you were surprised at the level 3 one, not level 6.

Yeah I just thought that the lvl 3 group was smallish. I honestly forgot nunu though.

How is Poppy lvl 3 doing the dragon? All hp and atk spd?

Yeah you could level 2 it with udyr in pbe.

Basically any champion with low CD's percentage damage could shit all over drag at level 2/3 and still be healthy lol It was dumb.

They changed it back to targeted attack and gave it percentage damage perm on auto attack.

Then again, on release, Aatrox could level 1 solo the dragon. I'm pretty sure he can level 2 kill it now and be above half.

while he can probably do so(and some others maybe aswell), he needs soooooooooo long for it that he will be 1-2 levels behind from doing so while not applying gank pressure or gaining farming gold, all for 6%ad/ap which is like nothing in the early....

Not with the buffs Dragon got. Udyr and Warwick can with the right setup, but Aatrox can't thanks to his garbage base stats

And yes as mentioned Aatrox has always been slooooooooooooooooooow at early Dragon solo, I used to do it a lot but it just set me behind tbh

Because Nunu/Warwick don't solo current dragon at 6 minutes anyway (was 4 minutes before they buffed his AD to 100)

Umm no, that was when they just had the attack to be extremely slow, they never implemented the new attacks.

the problem was that unlike Baron, he had no normal AAs but only avoidable 'spells'. They could have fixed that by adding a similar pattern to baron, x AAs, one random spell, Y AAs, another random spell, X AAs and so forth.

Surprisingly it was the opposite. It became too easy for certain champions to dodge the damage, so they changed it back.

I think the biggest issue with Dragon is how easy he is to solo for a good number of junglers quite early into the game. While I know that it's rather easy to invade said jungler and attempt a steal or kill him, it's still irritating to know that Dragon has become a buff whore that hardly becomes relevant until being whored 3 times. They need to buff dragon early, so that far less junglers can solo him without even having lifesteal.

Agree, dragon could be a bit more epic to fight, return his old AAs, give the exploding fiereball and that old line skillshot(maybe a small rumble ult?) every 3ed atack, and maybe his Windblow if to many peaople surround him on some cd.

Or maybe add some of that as he levels up....

For how important as a objective he is right now, often just as or even more important than baron, he should be a bit more epic to fight, especially later on. It's absurd how a 4 item adc can solo him without loosing live in ~15 sec...

Kinda sucks that his normal attack is practically single-target. If they gave him an attack that does less damage as it "thins out" between its targets, it would make solo-ing him significantly harder and less exploitable.
