Is ryze an easy champion to learn but next to impossible to master

So ryze has been an og staple for lol and one of my of champions. The big 3 for me have always been ryze, shyvana, and malphite. I played of ryze before any of his reworks when my friend was teaching me how to play in late season 4/pre season 5 around the time the oriana winter skin came out. He wasn't who got me started but shyvana did and ryze was my backup for if I didn't get top. A couple months later he got reworked and I was a good ryze then I started sucking on him. I just gave up at that point and then I eventually wanted him back so I played him for fun and tried to get the muscle memory down. Then he gets reworked to what we have today. Now I'm trying to learn him. He looks mor decision based with 2 point and click spells and skillshot. His e is where things get interesting. I'm a b2 scrub in solo queue so my ult is basically useless although I can make clutch escapes with it. He has a lot of combo's and from what I can see the most abusable is ewqeqeq because e is so spamable late. There's also his old combo but I found the pevious combo more effective. His escape combo is ewr because he gets a shields and is faster than a Usain bolt with a rocket strapped to his back. Use eq to waveclear. Eeq if no minions are low. From what I can see, his skill cap is like riven where there is none at all. It's infinate. Also no animation cancelling needed. Anyways is ryze an easy to learn but extremely hard to master champion.
