on sylas... sounds crazy right? well in some way its logical due to his mana usage he gets free mana/money if he misses minions so he can go ham if he needed to defensively of course if stuck under tower with "close enough" mana counter till kingslayer. put in a mana coin and you will be set.

it's almost --- exclusively used by supports because in order for it to be effective, you need to have minions nearby dying to an ally
I can't weigh in much as I haven't seen his gameplay, but as his jungler position, he would probably be better off just taking the jungle item and maybe leaving it alone to go to other items
you can't have both it and a jungle item at the same time after all
for top lane, i'd say it's mostly the same. You'd be better off going for a refillable potion 
or 
faerie charm if it still is available. don't forget that if mana is a concern, you can get the rune's reforged one that makes mana a lot less of a concern
not sure about corrupting potion
#TLDR: you don't get free coins from your own lane. it only works if an ally kills the minions
if gold is your concern, there are other items and the kleptomancy rune. he might even be able to run kleptomancy with his shield, but you would have to be very careful about what enemy he faces

xDogMeatx1 votesEnemy jungle: ill take the cs loss a bit while friendly jungle can lane cs a bit if they needed too. As a bonus it gives cdr/move speed. Plus if im under tower no mana trying to cs but cant i still get some gold/mana. Plus keeping even in level is important. It also upgrades into wards therefore more vision into the game.

SleepingVictors1 votesI’ve been rushing RoA on him and he seems to work a lot better that way. It solves lots of his problems.
But if the coin thing works for ya then it should work for other champs you know.
