Is Zed harder to learn/play than Riven?

I haven't been here when Riven was new or strong in the meta,but what i have seen so far zed has an unbeatable lane,so im asking,which is easier/harder?

How to Riven:

Learn "quick combo"/"animation cancelling".
Roll your face on the keyboard.

I'd say that Zed has more stuff to manage and learn.

Riven in a nutshell. The only counterplay to Riven is hoping they don't know animation cancelling. If they do you're fucked either way.

I can NUKE riven as zed. riven is more about timing your abilities in order to not get caught...zed is more about being patient and landing skill shots.

But id say zed has some techniques that take a little getting used to (like tri-shadowing)

riven doesnt require you to hit a skillshot to do damage zed does.

she has one skillshot and blows half her kit to get into range. zeds q is free. the end.

Zed's easier to pick up without any sort of experience, but has a decent skill ceiling.

Riven is actually semi difficult to pick up and do well with without practice.

I have mastered zed, and I am literally pretty much unbeatable in lane with him..Once you ACTUALLY learn to play him you pretty much cant lose lane...I have to explain this as always.. ZED has -Long range poke -Close quarter high damage -Teleport ult that procs % damage / Can teleport back to location if shit gets heavy -Has MASSIVE waveclear capability so its pretty hard to keep wave pushed once zed gets item 3074

zed can also do un-rivaled amounts of damage with the build I go with on him

Ok. Zeds Q is free,no,it is. It costs 50 energy with 6 seconds cooldown. in 6 seconds you regen 40 energy. If you get outranged,you should,Zed can farm with his Q and last hit everything. If he isn't outranged,his passive guarantees a last hit on minions. his W+Q has a total of 1450 Range,thats free poke. also near instant. He can swap places with his shadows to engage/disengage. you just dominated lane with only two spells.
