PSA: your job as a jungler is to snowball the carry lanes.

not to come top lane and gank the lane nautilus whos already losing and entirely under control, while bot lane gets obliterated by 4 man dives and were losing dragons.

please just stop ganking the easy lanes that will still be useful later even when behind.

just needed to get that off my chest.

Going to a lane that's losing and possibly feeding the already winning enemy an additional kill isn't the jungler's job.

how about trying to make sure that they dont get too far behind in the first place?

when youre ignoring a lane for 10 minutes while the enemy jungler snowballs the shit out of his bot lane, then yea. its too late.

guess noone can play diana or warwick jg then. Everyone has to play lee sin now in order to "fulfill their jobs"

actually as shitty as it sounds.

yes. if you want to win the game, you have to play that kind of jungler right now, since winning bot lane early and getting turret first blood has such a ridiculous impact.

dont teams that get turret first blood have between 70% and 80% winrate?

yes, its a fucking shit situation. but it you want to climb there is not much of a choice. games are mostly decided within 10 minutes by 4 man dives on bot lane and getting that bot turret until riot does something about it. the fact that aggressive junglers like lee sin can hit lvl 3 on krugs and gank before your bot lane hits level 2 just amplifies the situation.

farm junglers who need to hit 6 before they can make themsleves useful are terrible right now, because in most cases the game is already lost before you hit 6 and are ready to gank someone. i dont like it either, but thats the current state of the game.

See, I always thought it was the laner's job to snowball their own lanes, not to have one more person to blame when they go 0-15-0 to the enemy midlane janna because they "underestimated the damage".

the game doesnt work like this.

just ignoring a problem doesnt make it go away. it just snowballs out of control. if you have a lane who has a rough early game and turns into a hypercarry mid/lategame, then whats exactly the argument of not trying everything to get them to that point?

if the enemy has the hypercarry, you want to do everything in your power to shut him down.

Because they might just waste the lead you give them anyways? Don't get me wrong, having everyone "equal" is nice in theory. The problem is that even if you put 15 kills on a bronze 5 irelia it'll still almost certainly die to a 5 kill gold 5 sona. For most games I've seen, the game itself relies on which team has more reliable players who know what they're doing, and whether one team can get them far enough ahead to mitigate the weaknesses (those "weaknesses" often being completely unskilled players). Ignoring the problem isn't necessarily the nicest strategy, but it is by far the most effective barring straight up murdering the player mid-game and replacing them with a robot.

how do you know what they will do with the lead when they dont ever get one, because the enemy mid and jungle keeps constant pressure on bot from early on?

im saying the jungler needs to make better strategic choices which lane to gank. when youre ganking a lane that has a tank like nautilus who will still have an impact when behind, and his opponent keeps him in check on his own, then you made a bad choice and youre helping no one.

a lot of junglers just gank lanes that are easy without thinking what impact those ganks have on the whole of the game.

thats exactly what i mean. if you waste your time farming till 6 youre not carrying.

The job of the jungler is to apply map pressure in the most efficient way possible. If that is counterjungling the enemy out of 70 jungle cs, then so be it.

alright. this is true.

but a jungler is still not going to apply map pressure when he ignores that 60% of his team is getting destroyed by the enemy jungler and ganks the one lane that will still have an impact even when behind.

or you could have said:

"Thanks for the extra assists in my lane, but i'm good here, go help another lane that is not doing so well, thanks Mr.Jungler

  • from top lane"

now people are just going to read it as a negative rant more than a PSA...

btw what game was this? your champ and the jungler

i just said "bot needs help, im fine".

the point im trying to make is, that the jungler should have known not to waste his time in my lane from the start. the moment he showed himself up there, the damage was already done, since the enemy team saw it as a sign to go for a 4 man bot.

and they were right.

it doesnt matter if a nautilus is going 0/3 in lane. his cc and engage will still be threatening in teamfights. but you should really fuckign worry about that jinx who just got a double kill and a drake on bot lane.

Yea, i agree with your point, just how you phrased it for your "PSA".

that's why i want to know what was his champ and why he was so much more confident in taking Nautilus rather than the bot lane champs.

jungler was going olaf. that doesnt mean a good countergank wouldnt have helped.

even if it only resulted in the own bot lane not dieing, instead of getting kills, it would have made a large difference.

jungling is sitting in the river bush, and playing with mr. scuttles.
