Decided to try out Lee Sin, was amused at how I could finally reach ranged champs

IsIsGankedParis··34 votes·3,446 views

I managed to land my Q when ganking and instantly got to the ranged ADC or the Azir on the enemy team, if I missed I just W'd to the enemy.

But the best part about this was how awesome my ult was, it had the lowest cooldown I have ever seen for such an ability along with the damage.

I camped the enemy Azir for my Yasuo and got a kill, I went to go clear the jungle ganked top all in the span of 60-80 seconds and when I walked back mid, had my ult up again for Yasuo.

I love his ult in teamfights, our last teamfight I somehow managed to ult Irelia into her team, resulting in a 5 man Lee Sin and Yasuo ult.

This champ is fun to use and so strong, I wonder why I never abused the shit out of this champ before!

He is hard to play.

Yeah i laughed too

Honestly, I love how "durr hard to play" is supposed to be a defense for him.

  1. No he's not hard to play. Just because you think he's hard, because your idea of "hard to play" also includes champions like Ryze, doesn't mean he's hard: it just means you're terrible at basic champion mechanics.

  2. Even if he were hard, difficulty doesn't justify his disgustingly overloaded kit.

Wait, are we still talking about Lee Sin, Fizz, Riven, Leblanc, or all four of them?

I dont think you quite know what overloaded means. Gnar, lee sin, Riven and Irelia have over loaded kits. Fizz and lb are pretty straight forward as to what their abilities do and have limits on their abilities (especially since fizz was nerfed).

ScreamPaste6 votes

I don't think either of you know what overloaded means. Lee Sin, Zed, Thresh.

I love how Riven still gets hate from being strong for like a month in Season 2. "SHE HAS FOUR DASHES", no, she has four hops that cost her damage and survivability to use as gap closers, which have their movement speed hardcoded. She struggles just as much with catching champs like Kallista and Zed.

I'm sorry... What? A) Irelia how? Strong and overloaded are not the same. I want to defend Riven, but yeah, she's got a lot. B) Fizz kinda is overloaded. Two massive aoe nuke slows, one of which makes you untargetable, the other of which knocks up the enemy, two gap closers, percent health damage, a DoT and now, the only DFG in the game.

Asdeft1 votes

Idk, i feel like I can pick Irelia and do well vs most matchups because she has some answer to everything: hard cc, reset-able dash that applies on hit, health on hit, true damage and more healing on her ult. Fizz may be actually when you put into account his W having so much functionality, but his numbers are so weak now :( . Thresh and lee sin are the two that come to mind as being stupidly over-loaded.

Kitten of Evil4 votes

Irelia isn't really overloaded. She has passive tenacity, a dash that can refresh CD, a passive heal-on-hit that can be activated to be stronger and deal true damage (not unlike Fizz), a conditional slow/stun, and an ultimate that fires four very weak projectiles.

It's not as if she has a scaling armor/AP passive, an E which passively triples the strength of her AAs with an AOE slow active, a W which not only shields an ally, but also collects souls and serves as a "dash to this champion", and a hook which can either be used as a slight stun-pull or as a "dash to the hooked target". Thresh is a classic example of an overloaded kit, but even he isn't OP... just overloaded. And honestly, he and Lee Sin are probably the worst culprits when it comes to kit overloading, though Kalista comes close sometimes (a free ward + a 12% max health proc, and completely free passive kiting).

Kitten of Evil4 votes

Exactly. Especially because "hard to play" is relative. I personally suck at last-hitting, but I am good at skillshots, so I find Ashe and Caitlyn hard to play, while Azir and Lux are super easy for me.

Fun fact: the reason riot let ryze remain such a broken faceroll piece of shit for so long was because they decided he was 'hard to play' based on low elo vs high elo winrates.

Shinjusuke20 votes

this is the same company that points to lee sin's win rate and says "win rate = balance" while pointing to Urgot's win rate and saying "win rate isn't everything".

Forgive my lack of faith in their understanding of their own game.

qetzel3 votes

Nope. That post was from a long time ago, before changes that made Ryze strong, and was to do with building rather than playing.

Ryze actually is hard to play. Try doing a 20 spell combo perfectly

Plus, your wrist gets really sore from pointing and clicking on your target 20 times in a row.

Don't forget bruising your face on the keyboard from too much mashing.

the hard to play is never a defense the main iddea of a champion which is hard to play is that its underperforming in hands of someone who isnt accustomed to his kit but he overperforms a little when you get the experience (most of our champs work like this)

what ppl dont get that getting good at the champion shouldnt make you the jack of all trades where ppl just cant do sht to you

Narasimha5 votes

Pretty sure it was your Cait that carried that game, not your 3/7 self.

Edit: Well no shit it was easy, a plat bot lane vs a silver one? Gods that must have been a massacre.

Welcome to the group of incredibly boring players that play Lee Sin and think they are good.

BakedLotion4 votes

If they don't nerf Lee sin before they nerf jarvan, i'm fucking done. Lee sin has triple his gapclosers, along with an escape, along with double his fucking AD scalings. I'm pretty sure his ult has same or more scaling, with higher base damage. Not even counting his insane 180% AD q Jarvan has no escapes after he goes in, and less scalings. Watch rito nerf j4 first

"First" What do you mean "nerf j4 first" do you honestly expect riot to nerf j4 AND lee? Riot can't touch lee sin's big lcs plays.

Because hes hard to play. You have to be smart, many lees think they can dive but feed most of the time.

incredibly basic gameplay concepts you should have a firm grasp of by the time you're level 15 doesn't mean a champion is hard..

I don't think any champion is hard to play. They're just either strong or they're not. You only have 4 buttons to press. that's like 10 buttons and three joysticks less than a console game.

just play riven

Meep Man2 votes

My Spider senses are tingling and they tell me you never played Lee and you just made this post to tell Riot how OP he is.

AbodyHUN6662 votes

Even better, looked at his lolking, he had a strong team vs a terrible one. They had a plat 2 cait vs a silver kog, and the enemy team's only cc came from Irelia and Sona. From the full ap enemy Sona without a sightstone...

Duobyte2 votes

I even made a post here how he is lying and I got downvoted. Lel bronzies hate being cheated on by peolple D:

AbodyHUN6661 votes

The Lee sin hate is like a new religion. You shall not dare to question their dogmas or you will get downvoted to the Fifth Circle Of Bronze Hell. There your soul will be boiled in a lake of Teemo poison for the rest of eternity.

And yet no one is looking at OPs actual match history. This guy hasnt played lee sin since last year and he sucked HARD. Out of 4 games he fed 3 like crazy and managed to win only 1. And that 1 game he won didnt even have yasuo in his team. Nice free karma op.

Proof: http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-history/NA1/207726584?champion=64

It is sad how gulible people are on these boards. Bunch of sheep who want justification for their own faliure.

This is probably a reverse-psychology thread to complain about Lee Sin.

I think it is mockery of low elos who complain about lee sin and they obviously didnt get the sarcasam.

Try jarvan, get warrior, tiamat then tank or full ad works too. Full ad you dont even need to lane your knockup to 1 shot adc

The big ass different is that Jarvan dont have so many free out of jail cards.

If you don't have ur flash with Jarvan or Lee Sin, Jarvan can die easy in a bad initiation because he uses 2 of his spells to go in EQ, while Lee Sin only needs to use 1 (Q or ward jump with W).

If Jarvan gets in a bad situation he only can get out with the EQ without flash, while Lee Sin can Q away to a minion/jungle mob/enemy, W ward jump or kick the enemy to their nexus with his R and get away.

I agree both champions are strong, the big ass difference come from how SAFE is Lee Sin. You can mess up with him and leave ez pz.

Was ready to downvote out of annoyance until I read the last sentence.

Knight Devout1 votes

yasuo lee sin is pure toxicity. Remember how lee sin needed positioning to effectively use R? LOL Whatever, just knock him and Yasuo will interrupt the displacement and knock him upward for 1 second while jumping on him

Raptamei1 votes

Skarner Toxic and impossible to escape.

Never played him, but I noticed 50% junglers are Lee Sins. I think that tells me something.

9kPluzZ1 votes

I looked up lolking beacuse i was calling your BS on 5 man yasuo ulti Your a troll you haven't played lee like ever. Nice job hiding a obvious lee sin Q.Q thread tho. Honestly even so this lee q.Q isn't called for he has a 46% win rate people! Stop trying to mess up fun champs and don't feed the troll.
