getting sick of MAX % HP true damage...

i dont get it, what was wrong with just flat true damage? atleast it kinda had counterplay if you just built some HP. so why give so many champions max% HP true damage? it is litterally IMPOSSIBLE to counter it. no matter how tanky you get you will only have that much more dmg dealt to u.

there damage also NEVER falls behind because it scales directly in portion to your enemy rather than through your own items or abilities. its such a toxic and bad mechanic to have in any game.

if Vayne identity is to do true damage to tanks, then thats fine. but when you start giving it to multiple champs Fiora Garen then we have a problem.

Garen's is annoying but tolerable, he does less than vayne and only if you're the villain Vayne and Fiora shouldn't exist

Fiora's has room for counter-play, and Garen's ult is % missing HP (the real problem is in the base damage on his ult). The 1% on-hit against the villain is going to be less than 20 damage in most cases.

Vayne is integral to the game so her true damage is something that can't be changed (the base damage could be lowered though so she doesn't shred EVERYTHING late game). however the fighters/juggernauts don't really do THAT much true damage, fiora's is once every 5-7 seconds, so if she true damage's you to death, your positioning is poor, and she's capitalizing on it. Garen's 1% is almost completely negligible. JustMyBassCannon has it right, even fiora's ult is easy to avoid if you position yourself right in teamfights or when you see her. make it impossible for her to hit your vulnerabilities and she's a lot easier to deal with.

garens ult deals missing hp% damage, not max hp% damage. and how many kills are you racking up as tank anyways, that you become the villain before your mage, assassin or adc?

otherwise, the difference between true damage and magic damage against a glass cannon is small, as they dont tend to stack a lot of resistances. against a squishy villain the ult will deal like 800 or 900 true damage instead of 600 to 700 magic damage. iv taken more than that from a vayne w.

the villain mechanic is strongest in edge cases of a tanky, snowballing bruiser. and if youre up against that as garen, then chances are that he snowballed off you and even the villain mechanic doesnt help you.

probably the most useful case of the villain mechanic is in case of a tanky, snowballing jungler on the enemy team. which is an extremely specific scenario.

if you compare garens ult vs chos ult, then cho wins by miles even without % damage. 650 base damage with .7 ap scaling on a 50 second cooldown lategame with enough cdr can easily compare in damage to the more conditional ult of garen.
