actually if you go into the game and click invite on the top, and then type in to their you can still send them an invite.

Even so there's a much less chance of duos and premades at this time.

So people who don't like premades still gets some advantage right now.

I just finished a game where I had a 3-man premade and the enemy had a 4-man premade.

True, so that's a plus.

...However, it's still the last stretch before the end of the season. Ranked during this time is horrific every season. And (actual) boosters (and scripters!) are rampant...~20-50% of the games I spectate with friends have at least one.

End of the season has its downsides, though. Fresh 30s looking for an end of season placement, last minute tryhards with no experience to back it up, and so on. Most of the serious players have largely moved on and up by now.

End of season has the most upsides for me.

You essentially know everyone at your starting point will be significantly worse than you so you can carry yourself to gold easily and get end of season rewards.

Provided you actually focus on farm and build right, at least. Play a teamfighter and its pretty much GG.

Only took me placements to hit gold.
