You know, in the "Juggernaught" update, they forgot about one person...

The Undead Juggernaught himself, Sion.

For real, he gets overshadowed by every other tanky fighter.

His only upsides is that he is EXTREMELY hard to kill because of his health stacking, he has SO MUCH cc, and his passive can be somewhat scary in some situations.

But, as the guy with Juggernaught LITERALLY IN HIS NAME, I feel he got a little left out in that patch.

EDIT: Many people say that Sion is a tank, and that is true. Then, because of that, Sion should be renamed "The Undead Tank".

He's not a juggernaught, he's a tank. Juggernaughts have high tankiness, high damage, low mobility, and most importantly VERY LOW CC. Sion has alot of CC.

Fatalitý2 votes

Low CC? Darius? lol 2 90% slows in his kit how's that fair

WarlockLaw5 votes

People don't generally count slows as cc because they really mean hard cc.

Jeddy0172 votes

And the only hard CC Darius has requires him to be close to the target.Similar to how Garen's only CC requires him to be in melee range.

Fatalitý1 votes

Garen is fine and balanced now, unlike darius

Fatalitý1 votes

Ok yeah still, Mordekaiser and Garen are the true definitions of "Juggernauts" very good damage high tankiness, low cc to be kited. Darius and Skarner on the other hand both have 2 forms of cc in their kit and skarner is very hard to kite.

Slows don't really help a lot in teamfights though because for the most part everyone is where they need to be. In teamfights you can simplify it by assuming everyone is standing in lines facing each other popping off shots, which makes hard cc much more valuable because it delays when the other team takes the shot. A 3 man knockup/stun from Sion is much more valuable than if Darius somehow slowed all 5 people on the other team at the same time.

Fatalitý1 votes

I'd rather have a 5 man pull on darius than a 3 man knock up on sion because in darius pull he brings every one to him in one little circle so what ever ability goes there every one gets hit by it.

kile1471 votes

If you can get their entire team with a single Darius pull, then they were already way too grouped up. But a 3 man Darius pull doesn't cc them as long as a 3 man Sion knockup anyways.

Nautilus and Leona must be frightening to you.

Fatalitý1 votes

Nautilus and Leona aren't Juggernauts though......... The guy said juggernauts are supposed to have low CC when Darius has 2 slows and skarner has a slow and an immobilzation

Then they should rename him "The Undead Tank".

Titles dont have anything to do with gameplay.

Why?His title isn't about his in game role or playstyle. It's about his character. Does Ezreal play like a "Prodigal Explorer" in game?Nasus doesn't seem like much of a "Curator" in game.I don't see anything unforgivable about Yasuo in game. The list goes on. If you want a description of their in game playstyle, look at their primary & secondary role.

I dunno, whenever i see a yas in game i never forgive them for playing him.

Nope,he's not a Juggernaut,he's a tank. It's like Unlucky Number7 says,he's has too much CC.Plus,Sion isn't about doing damage like the Juggernauts or any fighters are. He's about initiating teamfights & being a disruptive force with his CC all while tanking damage for days. And before you say,"But,his title!" remember that's more of a reference to his character rather than in game playstyle.

WarlockLaw3 votes

Pretty sure Sion doesn't fit into their mold of what a juggernaut despite having it in his title. Also he got his whole relaunch thing a while back so he doesn't need a knew kit

..That..that's what a juggernaut is, though. Well, more tank-like, really, but Sion's supposed to be a tank. Sion would've totally come out with the other juggernauts if they didn't already completely rework him.

RIP Tahm Kench1 votes

I still find him perfectly playable in low gold jungle. Godlike ganking on botlane post-6 if their flashes are down, and slightly less godlike ganking mid and top (because there's only 1 target to hit with ult). His pre-6 ganks are meh though, relying on his E-Q combo and the laner's damage.

you can build people how ever u want to . 300 armor on anyone makes them tanky

New Sion can rot for all I care.

Old Sion would have gotten that juggernaut update AND the juggernaut items would have been OP on him.

kile1476 votes

New Sion is rotting, and he's very self conscious about it. It's not easy being undead.

Kotex1 votes

I would like to see Sion getting some "juggernaut changes" like the rest, yea.

kile1472 votes

He uses the juggernaut items fairly well, although somewhat redundantly.

Shénzhì1 votes

He's juggernaut. He wasn't forgotten (new items with 5.16).

HayRoss1 votes

Well, he did JUST get a major rework, I don't think he really needed more attention so soon

Count Zubat1 votes

I can see how a lot of people are confused by Sion's title of "Undead Juggernaut", but then again, let's not forget he got reworked before Riot even introduced the role of "juggernaut" into a game. Also, when you look at Sion, his appearance is of some kind of juggernaut - huge, kinda scary guy with gigantic axe. Not a type of guy I want to meet personally. Gameplay wise... yeah, he isn't like 4 juggernauts we got. Does it mean he needs title change? Debatable, but I would say no.

alfavhunter1 votes

Sion has 2 modes

His initial CC heavy mode, then if he does he loses all CC and gains huge damage

In a sense when he is in his passive he is a juggarnot

He just doesn't last long enough for that to really be scary

With the right team comp he is a beast in jug mode though

Zilean speed up, morg shield, you shred them all. Lol
