Question About Kayn's Passive
How exactly is Shadow Assassin/Darkin's progression calculated? I assumed that it worked on a >50 amount of either red or blue orbs to determine which form is first accessed since orbs at early levels are worth a single unit each for whatever damage they apply to, but is that not the case? Judging by the progression bar surrounding Kayn's portrait, I had collected orbs ONLY from damaging ranged champs to >75% of the bar, yet when it filled after a single fight with a melee champ, Darkin was the option I was given. How does that make sense?
If it matters, I did fight that melee champ from full health to their death, and considering they were around level 12 or so--the ranged champs leading to the 75% progression being only levels 1-10--I'm assuming that single fight accumulated so many Darkin orbs that it surpassed the total Shadow Assassin orbs, despite them being >75% of my bar...
That's sensible, but then what's the point of a progression at all when you can have say 99% Shadow Assassin orbs gathered then one continuous fight gathers enough Darkin orbs to completely ignore what you were trying to do?
Is this a bug, or an unintentional mechanic that Riot overlooked?
