Current ADC Itemization shows a lack of Death's Dance being built

Here are the most common core builds for the top 10 most played ADCs in Plat+ this patch:

Caitlyn -
Lucian -
Tristana -
Vayne -
Twitch -
Xayah -
Miss Fortune -
Jinx -
Ashe -

In these 10 builds, the most common items are IE, which appears 6 times, followed by RFC which appears 5 times. All other items appear either 2 or 3 times while ER appears only once. Death's Dance, however, appears a total of 0 times, which only goes to show that this is a Draven exclusive item. This is also data from NA servers - keep in mind that for every 10 Death's Dance built on an ADC on NA, only 1 is built in KR.

The main point of this post is to show the lack of DD on ADCs, as I keep seeing complaints about the item when the statistics all point to it not being a problem, but rather it being underused even.

Because it's not a good item for auto attackers. item 3072 is much better.

And not only that, but core builds much more commonly require two zeal items.

Draven is the only thing that really builds deaths dance. Surprised you didn't put him on it. However I see him banned practically every ranked game, so its fine.

You know what people are bitching about now? Lethality on adc being abused.

Fun fact: Have yet to really see it on any adc besides jhin and mf.

item 3812 Is a better fit for people who dive in and get bursted hard. item 3072 Is a better fit for auto attackers who are mostly reliant on literally auto attacks.

On a side note... why the hell is item 3153 on this list multiple times? The only one who made it an awesome core item was Kindred before her rework. Now it's best for a situational take.

I just wanted to show that Death's Dance isn't what many people make it out to be, as shown by the data. Trying to spread awareness to hopefully improve the quality of discussion on boards.

It's a bit frustrating when items that just aren't relevant are popularly cited as making balance problematic; it's hard to have good discussion with purely anecdotal evidence.

That's all I saw in it! Funny thing is my comment was at +3 when I checked this thread a couple of weeks ago. Now I'm looking at your reply, and it's clear the mere facts struck a nerve for some reason. I wish people took this kind of thing less, er, personally? (I don't know how this could be personal).
