Riot has the right idea with the Vayne buffs, whether or not they are too much.

Because, if anyone's been paying attention, Vayne hasn't had the correct identity as a champion for the last maybe 1 or 2 years. This is a champion that's supposed to kill you with steady dps. But instead, we ended up with a champion that could burst people in 3-4 autos with a statik shiv and IE. I've played her since s2 and just never seen such a thing until last year.

So obviously the idea is to nerf the components of her kit that allow her to build crit and burst champions with as little as 2 items. But she's not in a particularly strong state right now as compared to Twitch, Xayah, Trist, Draven, etc. So a straight nerf to her is kinda unfair. Buffing her AS based build makes sense as it is the weaker of her two build paths right now. This allows her to remain at her current level of strength as a champion while pushing her in the right direction gameplay-wise. As for the ult buffs, I don't really agree with them unless someone can explain the point of them. I'd much rather see her Q be changed so that her champion hitbox actually moves with the animation, if anything. This would reward skilled play rather than just reward her for killing someone with that 20% health.

And, as for my personal taste, I enjoy the bork and AS based build a lot more on her. And it's much more fair to play against, IMO, as you don't get cheesed by huge crits early game.

I agree with your point here "This is a champion that's supposed to kill you with steady dps." but i do feel like her being a tank buster is silly.

W excluded her kit is pretty cool and kind of screams duelist / assassin / hunter which fits her lore (pretty much leagues batman) So i feel like %hp true being present on her forcing her to be this controversial as tank busting hypercrarry is Silly.

I would actually prefer to see a mini rework on her that brings a knew w that keeps her focus on as and onhit but also strengthens her in a unique duelist adc niche.

Take my words with a table spoon of salt becuase im not really a vayne player but i feel the odentity crisis is much larger then her current build choices (and %maxhp is a fairly controversial and poorly though out mechanic as well)

The problem with this is that last season vayne was incredibly strong with bortk and 14% max health damage on her w. They nerfed it and now it's coming back. Vayne will now hit late game with one item again and the cycle continues

and how could this be changed exactly? unless you disallow her from buying crit items she will always have burst, just like every other crit ADC in the game
