I have a cool idea for a Taliyah Q change that would be really interesting!

Alright so my general thought process is I feel like Taliyah's Q could use a bit of ommph and I had a GREAT idea that would really improve on her theme and also increase her skill cealing. Functionally, for the most part her Q would remain the same, maybe some minor tuning but here is the idea: [The bolded section is the change.] Threaded Volley TARGET RANGE: 1000 COST: 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 MANA COOLDOWN: 11 / 9 / 7 / 5 / 3 Threaded Volley ACTIVE: Taliyah unleashes 5 Stone Shards in quick succession in the target direction over 1.5 seconds, dealing magic damage in a small area around the first target hit. Targets hit by a Stone Shard take 40% damage from subsequent shards. **Additionally, landing all 5 Shards on a target Staggers them, briefly knocking them back and applying a mini stun 0.5 seconds. ** (( I feel like this would heavily improve her thematic goals as well as add a really cool skill check to Taliyah players.)

MINIMUM MAGIC DAMAGE:» 70 / 95 / 120 / 145 / 170 (+ 45% AP) Threaded Volley 2 Casting Threaded Volley creates an area of Worked Ground 450 units radius wide around Taliyah that lasts 120 seconds. While on Worked Ground, Taliyah gains 10% - 20% (based on level) bonus movement speed, and only hurls one Stone Shard upon casting Threaded Volley, refunding half its mana cost.

Taliyah needs this

I actually really like this small change. As it stands, I usually want to hit 2-3 shards and really don't care about the 4th or 5th hit unless I'm trying to get a kill/hard harass. It would be nice to get a little something for hitting all 5 shards. It's fairly easy to miss/dodge just one of the shards so I don't see this being too crazy.

Obv I'm a little biased though ;)

This is a really cool change.

You'd have to make some sort of Visual indicator for it though. That way the opponent can understand the ramping mechanic.

Like making the Rocks brighten in color the more you hit.

Speaking as a Taliyah main, this sounds like it would be a really cool change that also fits thematically but I don't think it would end up working out well in practice. First, imo since 6.14/6.18 Taliyah has had too much of her power loaded into threaded volley while unraveled earth feels kind of underwhelming against anyone vaguely durable. Hitting all 5 shots in lane or against the adc or mage or something like that is hard and this seems like a good way to reward it, especially since it would likely proc e and make it easier to land w which rewards using e as it's own skill instead of when you're about to land w. The problem with this is that late game, threaded volley is on a really low cooldown and while it's good for kiting it's hard to threaten the backline since it just gets bodyblocked and mobile champions can outmaneuver it's angle. With this buff, you still don't have a good way to hit who you want to but you now have a short knockback/stun on a 3 second cooldown that's extremely hard for the people you're already good at kiting to dodge.

Yea but it would obviously have an internal cooldown.

In that case I'm still not sure if it's what she needs but it probably would be a pretty cool change for them to implement.
