Just had a 66 minute game...

The problem: despite three infernal drakes we kinda tied, every teamfight would end up the winning team so weakened that it was either impossible to finish, or there were too many people alive on the losing side to take out an inhib.

The solution: use a Taliyah ult to backdoor their Nexus from half a mile away. A dirty move but I am now HELLA proud of it ^^

Holy shit I almost forgot how exhausting that could be. I don't even remember the last agme when truly EVERYONE was full items, even with the supports selling their gold items and all. Also there was not a single tower remaining on the map. I didn't even think it was even possible in modern league, it was one hell of a match.

And I think I even know why it was possible: there was not a single assassin in the match. Yeah, you could count that Yi, but I'm talking more about these "WOOP YA DED!" champs like Fizz, Rengar, Zed, Lb... the list goes on. Isn't it strange how game quality suddenly increases when an entire class is not playing?

Maybe tuning damage creep down in general would allow for more matches like this...

I don't like that long of games. It gets boring and is a lot of work to not get caught because one person getting caught alone can be gg

I honestly love long matches when they are back and forth. My longest game in my career playing league, was 80 minutes, and it happened last season. Fortunately enough, I was playing Veigar. By the end of the game, I have over 2200 AP haha.

How it lasted so long? The same scenario you just had. Not really any assassins, but their front line enough to keep me from getting to 1 shot their ADC almost every fight.

But then they threw a baron fight. I caught the ADC out and we won. Was such a fun game. but damn, it is very tiresome.

Yeah they too had a strong frontline, Sion and Alistar, and the Cait had a Malzahar supp to keep her untouchable. By the time we finally got her, we were also almost dead. However, the fights were getting quite long, that is when I took my chance with the backdoor ^^

Yeah it is exhausting like hell tho. Not bad, but more this "achieved something" exhausting. This is the main reason I want more games like this, you just don't get this feeling after a 25 min pubstomp...
