It most certainly was not just Hashinshin, nor were complaints all originating from his followers.
Posts topped both boards and reddit calling it the worst rework ever.
the point is that people knew this well before his release on live yet he was still released with those same problems. that is the problem with people like you and the community as a whole.
"its just PBE guys, we dont even know her ratios and she not even on live yet!" (zoe gets released ridiculously OP and one shotting everything in sight)
"guys its just PBE, aatrox is fine" (aatrox gets released despite the negative feedback he got on PBE)
"akali one shitting everyone and not getting detected by turrets is no big deal until she gets released on live and does exactly the same thing"
like seriously, STOP. riot has NEVER made any large sweeping changes when they are extremly close to a champions launch window. how she is now is most likely how she will be on live because its how riot has ALWAYS done things. ignoring this fact is silly. You people always ask for "damage numbers" without first looking at the core mechanics of a champions kit. what makes zoe a problem is NOT her fucking numbers, its the way her kit is designed. Akali is no different.
