The New Forgotten Champion: Fiddlesticks

Currently, sitting at a 0.93% Play Rate in the Jungle, you could look through 100 games from the current patch at random and Fiddlesticks would on average be in 1 or none of the games. To be honest, Fiddlesticks needs some small touch-ups like the ones done to Cho'Gath, Garen, and others badly. His kit is so incredibly clunky AND overly reliant on Zhonya's that there is zero reason to pick him over anyone else. These days, the threat his ultimate brings is actually pretty mediocre since it is attached to either an immobile source due to Zhonya's or one of the squishiest characters in the game that instantly dies if any interrupting crowd control touches him. Further more, he has the same exact issue as the old Ryze except even worse because he isn't a bursty champion without his ultimate.

The problem with old Ryze is you either were in his range and you died, or you were out of his range and he was essentially useless. The issue with Fiddlesticks is even if you are in his range, you won't instantly die. You will at best be feared, take some damage, and likely live since most of Fiddlesticks damage can be interrupted or is reliant on there being two targets to fight, upon which he has even LESS of a chance of winning since he only has the reliable crowd control (Q) to fight one target at a time. His whole kit is a bosh of clunky and anti-synergistic mess that just leaves him feeling terrible to play unless the situation is extremely ideal for him already, upon which you could pick any champion.

So what needs to this scarecrow? Well, a couple things to be honest:

1. Scrap the current Q, it just further amplifies his current problem of either you are in his range and suffer, or are out of his range and he can't do much to you. This ability needs to be chopped and replaced entirely.
2. Make him less "range locked". There are multiple ways to do this, such as making his E a skill shot and then increasing the range, but it's up to Riot to decide. Currently, if Fiddlesticks isn't in range to Q someone, he is useless. If getting into that range would cause him to instantly die, he is useless.
3. Modernize his ultimate to be less reliant on Zhonya's. Fiddlesticks needs a defensive mechanic attached to his ultimate or any other part of his kit so using his ultimate isn't a suicide mission half the time. Currently, your team has to basically have the perfect initiation for Fiddlesticks to Crowstorm, not Zhonya's, and live. Fiddlesticks needs an innate defensive mechanic that ISN'T W.
4. Give him a new VO. Sorry, had to put this in. His current VO is just not appropriate of his character and just really silly to be honest. In his new lore, his voice is described as a "creepy, raspy voice as if a tormented soul was having to talk to someone through mounds of dirt and dust" or something like that. That is not his current voice.

Basically, I really wish Fiddlesticks was viable. It would add another champion to the Jungle that isn't either a Diver or big beef Tank that just rolls over people. He is the saddest current character, sitting at one of the lowest play rates in the game. Please give this poor scarecrow some attention so people will actually remember to fear the crows.
