Fix the surrender option

It's ridiculous, It feels like every time I play a game where the odds of us winning are if 2 or more enemies D/C (1/200 chance), I get team mates who are unrealistically optimistic or just trolls who wont surrender in the most obvious loses just to get a rise out of people. It sucks how a game that should be over at 20 minutes to a surrender turns into a 40 minute turtle at base waiting for the enemy team to get baron and wipe us out, when in that time I could of started another match or switched to another game or activity. Onto my idea to fix this,

I think the surrender vote should rely on a system that will alter the surrender vote.

The system will work like this, if the enemy team has..

  • More turrets (by X amount more)

  • More kills (by at least 20 or more)

  • Gold advantage (by IDK more)

(I wont include player disconnects as a reason just because they're not as common as a common 5v5 even though it doesn't feel like it sometimes)

the system will then turn the surrender to a 3 yes minimum, 2 yes for 4 players and an automatic white flag for 3 players and under.

I feel like this system would help a lot of people get out of lousy matches and onto something different.

Just a suggestion.

Play the game, whether you win or lose. You learn more from losses than wins. I hate people who only feel like playing when they're ahead.

I'm always down for a tougher win, but when the chances of winning are slim, it's honestly no fun having a team pile drive my ass and 4 others multiple times for an extra 20 minutes.

I agree the surrender option needs some updates too it. I think one option could be if it is just 3v5 then if a player hasn't reconnected in the first 5 mins the game just autmatically ends with neither team getting a loss or win. I have played way to many games that should have been surrendered but get dragged out. Most of the time it's because the other team isn't that good and had we had a full team we would have won. So players are like "Nah we got this we can win" Yet they have destroyed all our towers up to base and we haven't destroyed any of theirs and their team is fed. Sometimes you just need to know when to throw in the towel, but not many players on LOL seem to know that.

I'm one of those people that rarely wants to surrender. Blame it on me playing too many late game champions, or having too many supprise upsets, watching too many #bigplays or whatever you want, but I have to be having a game that's about two or three times as bad as most people's bad game for me to want to surrender.

I feel like a change to the surrender policy would be a relief to people like you and incredibly frustrating for people like me.

So, ultimately, the question Riot would have to figure out is how many people are there who regularly want to duke it out to the bitter end and how many people are there that want to call it quits when it starts to look desperate. If one group significantly outnumbers the other, then they'll likely change it. If the two are close to the same, they'll most likely keep it the same as it is.
