Riot has been pulling punches on direct champion nerfs for awhile now.
It's been a long time since we really saw a champ get a highly significant nerf, and 7.2 is no exception. It's literally all buffs, aside from that insignificant darius nerf and that tiny little kat nerf. I don't really understand why Riot is so hesitant in nerfing champs that have been problems since early December
And then 4 champs that have been balance nightmares in the past suddenly get buffs, amidst a time where there's so much broken nonsense. Yi, Nidalee, Lulu, and Akali (who was admittedly pretty bad) get buffs in 7.2. Yi wasn't in an awful spot, winning 47% of his games in Plat+. Unfortunately he's been buffed and now will see play at all Elos despite being horribly designed and a game-lengthening, unfun, endlessly farming chasedown carry.
People wonder why power in general has crept, and I believe things like this might be one of the factors. Masteries are mostly to blame, but the constant buffs are starting to get annoying. Nerf some shit.
