Autofill is unhealthy for the game period

Unless you throw in some compensation for the people who go through it, its bad and toxic and promotes toxicity in league. I don't need to type pages as to why its bad for the game.

Toxic players are responsible for toxic play. In solo queue everyone wants to play so you gotta be a global teammate and play an off role sometimes.

If you want to play a specific spot every time... join a team.

We don't "gotta" be or do anything. Playing the game is a choice. We choose our roles because those are what we enjoy. A game is meant to be enjoyed. If people are forced into doing things they don't enjoy then the entire point of the game is lost.

I agree. You don't HAVE to do anything. You don't even have to play the game if you don't like the way it is being managed. It's not going to kill you to have to play 20-30% of your games as a role you don't want.

I get my role more than half the time that I play and I choose to enjoy playing at least 2-3 different roles so that I won't feel so bummed out by not getting the one I want at the moment.

Just take it as an opportunity to learn. The more you know about the game, the better you will be at it (theoretically).

Occasionally playing roles/positions you don't like as much has been a part of playing games for centuries. Don't like finding people in hide and go seek? Too bad, everyone takes a turn so it's fair for all.

Not enjoying a game because you're asked to play a different role once in a while is a personal problem, not a problem with the game. It doesn't make the game any less fun.

i know people that have never seeked but chrisma wont help you here only support but if you pick what you want to play there you are toxic or un co operative or a troll. great way to get more people into the role that has the least players and is holding up que times.

You don't need to type pages because there are very few valid reasons as to why it might be bad for the game. You do get compensation for autofilling. You get a guarantee of one of your two chosen roles.

I'm not sure where you are getting the whole "toxic" argument from because I've yet to see anyone be toxic about it in champ select or in-game since the implementation of this feature.

Blaming the system is a nice scapegoat. Unfortunately, the system doesn't make your decisions for you. If you choose to be toxic, that is your own responsibility and choice. The system might influence that, but ultimately, it is still your choice. I'm not really sure what you hoped to accomplish by posting this here in the forums without listing and explaining any real reasons as to why autofill should be removed/modified.

Yep. You're right. But if you filled for a role before, you get a guarantee for your two chosen roles next game. I don't see why they would override this with the new autofill feature.

Did you know that, if you get auto-filled (or wind up getting filled as a Secondary role, or play Support voluntarily), your next queue will have you exempt from autofill? (Barring Fill as a Role, of course.) That seems compensation enough for me; get autofilled one match, be able to play one of your two roles for certain the next.

reasons why autofill is bad. 1st one is in bronze the guy that gets autof***** into support wont play a support 50% of the time. you will get some apc or adc in that spot. which leads to no vision being built nearly all of those times by the guy in the support spot. reason 2 is another easy one supports that have any idea of how to be a solid complete support are all gone. they climb so quick. dont make people play support who dont wanna play it. they could add a 3rd and 4th lane preference and i think that would help. i can play 4/5 roles. they gutted my supports over the years. they killed the soraka that could give mana back to the carry. then they screwed up taric bad with his rework. so i just explained why i dont run support anymore. so the idiots out there dont say "you are just one of those guys who refuses to run support like the rest of the 90% or more." now those morons know my logic.
