My main account is stuck..

My main account is stuck in Bronze 2, and I am having a hellish time getting it out. So I started playing on a fresh 30, and am currently playing in Silver 1 - Gold 5 elo. So how does that even work out? Apparently I was bad enough to be placed into Bronze 2 a short few months ago, but now I am playing an entire division higher and doing absolutely fine every game..? I can't win more than 3-4 games in a row in Bronze because of just the lack of mechanics all around the board, even including myself at times. But it surely doesn't make sense.. There really is something that needs to be done about ranked. Kick people out of Bronze, and make them do more than play 10 games to qualify to feed on my team every game, then bitch.

I'm Silver 5, in promos.

In my experience in Bronze (lumping B1 and S5 together) Bronze is really cheesy. If I fall behind early, it's either because I personally failed to look at the mini map, or because my opponent got lucky. Lucky as in I got to ward a bush and the jungler is already there. The best ways to carry in low elo is to just cheese better.

But as was said, the mechanics are so much worse in low elo. Players don't know how to play from behind, and don't know how to react to getting cheesed.

I frequently duo with a friend who was mid Gold last season, he just got back to G5 last night. When I play with him, we consistently do better. Once I was able to get used to the better players he pulls, (golds and plats vs the bronze and silvers I pull) I've found myself playing more consistently. Consistently better. You can tell which are the players I'm pulling into queue, and which ones he is. But as a whole, the gameplay is of higher quality. Better rotations, better fights, objective focus, safer plays, etc. The game evolves from cheese to more strategy.

The problem isn't with ranked/Bronze though. It's just people are so reluctant to learn how to improve. What Riot needs to do is find a way to encourage learning. They've already managed to reduce (not end) AFK'ing, racism, sexism, and other toxic behavior. But instead of just discouraging toxicity, they need to encourage improvement.

That's definitely it. I just see more quality in my own game, and the people SHOW me things instead of bitch. Like the other day, the guy said, "Don't turn around and engage when you get caught, run to me and I can help." The second time that happened, I ran to him instead and he hit a tibbers stun and it went from oh shit to hell yeh pretty quick. So I definitely prefer playing in this elo over Bronze, because I just get frustrated with people in Bronze because it's the defeatist mentality. My 3rd win was a comeback too, where we were down 2 inhibs and aced in 3 good team fights and pushed to win. So much more exciting and fun than Bronze steamroll games. The quality of the games I've had are always close/fair, but in Bronze it's either roll or get rolled it seems.

Yup, you get it. And now it's a matter of who you play against Bronzies. I find not-meta, comfort picks to work best.

Well see, then you probably belong in where your "smurf" is.

I smurf myself, and even as a Diamond player, I find Bronze games harder to carry than silver. All it takes is "Ping your mia please" for someone to start raging and quit the game...

That kinda doesn't make sense. If it's hard for you to even carry Bronze games, does that mean you belong in Bronze too? More or less, I find games work out and are more fun in the elo I am playing in now compared to my Bronze account.

Harder doesnt mean cant.

I never knew, until I got placed in bronze this season, that the request for a ping could lead to so much rage.

Even in normals/team builder people are like "Oh I'm sorry that was my bad." The same situation in Bronze turns into 5 minutes of the player flaming nonstop about map awareness, feeding the enemy because "The hell with this team, you're all toxic asshats, and deserve to demote to unranked."

That, unfortunately, is the ultimate truth. People just refuse to hold their own breath and just win the game. but would rather fck everyone up just cause they don't like the way others talk....i mean REALLY?

And don't get me wrong it's not like I'm an asshole about it. While my corpse is bleeding on the floor, or I'm recalling at virtually zero hp from bot lane support trying to level 2 cheese me in mid lane, and I ask the bot lane to "Please try and ping your MIAs."

I don't think that's toxic in any fashion, but I guess ADCs and Supports don't like being questioned in Bronze. Maybe support didn't want to support, idk. So much salty behavior in Bronze.
