Why was Kassadin buffed again?

Why did Kassadin needs buffs when he was sitting on a 50% win rate? Do you not remember the last time you made him meta?

Actually his buffs didn't do as much as people think, it's because the meta is filled with mid lane mages which fun fact, he's amazing against
He had a 50% win rate and it was all mages in mid. Its still all mages in mid and now he's pushing 54% after the buffs. The meta had absolutely nothing to do with it lmao
That seems healthier tbh. His win rate should be above 50% when it's all mages mid. If he's only 50% when facing champions he counters then that's bad, it would mean in a non-mage meta he's below average.

I guess it's time for the gut sniper to be fired But you know, I freaking hope riot just reverts the buffs instead of nerfing everything else then reverting
Because apparently his late game scaling wasnt strong enough
lel
I think the reasoning is he has a weaker early game strength than most other assassins while only having an on-par late game.
he was strong but not popular, so they buffed him to make him popular and then they're going to nerf him back to 50% win rate, and his pick rate will remain high i guess

Kassadin skin confirmed?
Nerf Kassadin Circlejerk threads confirmed?
If his pickrate in lower elos goes up, maybe.
We needed a new one tbh otherwise what would the gameplay boards have?
Riot wanted to nerf their assassin update but didn't want to admit they fucked it up
nerf their assassin update by buffing an assassin?
Oh kassadin should never be allowed to be above 50% winrate, meanwhile
"Why even bother trying to cure aids cancer is more deadly???????????????????????????????????????????????????"
saying 50% winrate with 0.000000000000000000000000000000001% playrate means he is balanced is like saying a test is easy because 100% of the students passed when 1 guy took the test.
Seriously? We're complaining about a weak champion getting buffs because he was overpowered once?
He's no Azir or Kalista. Don't treat him as such.
Weak champion LOL
You're being serious? Like no joke? Guy wasn't meta at all and being buffed is bad?
Not popular =! Weak People really need to stop with this mentality
he was nowhere near being "weak" :) im suprised that almost no1 plays kassa in competetive games, to weak early game when helping ur jungler is rly important now?
idk why don't people play vayne then?
who plays vayne in competetive?
That's exactly how we should treat him.
Someone didn't play in season 3/4 from the looks of it.
Because he was perfectly normal and fine? You know the drill, fuck up all normal and perfectly fine champions, woo!
They need to prep Kass for worlds. He makes lcs big plays.
When did he get buffs?
2 patches ago i think
It was a 1 second decrease on his e, and a .1 increase on his ult's ap ratio.
Don't forget the bug fix to his W - that one was probably the most important.
The bug fix was the most important, It was so irritating.
Yeaaah if you can play kass you can carry hard. My friend has been face rolling games as kass going positive kd's carrying consistently.
kassadins only been used in lcs
still wont change the fact hes a bad solo q champ
They did the same thing with lux at the beginning of the season. It's more of a Riot Implimenting a cheese-dick buff that doesn't really do anything to the champion expect tell the player base "hey this Champs good right now play them more" to try and swing the meta around and shake things up.
Because Riot's balance team doesn't like (or understand) late-game champions needing to scale because explosions from minute one is the desired vision of gameplay for them. Who cares if he hits late game faster? What's the worst that could happen? It's not like Kassadin is an extremely delicate champion to fuck with or anything right? ...oh wait.
Uh... He's not though. They removed both volatile elements of his kit a while ago. He's now just as balanceable as any other character. And these buffs didn't make him hit lategame faster. He still needs 3 items to do anything.

His statistics according to champion.gg are much lower. Maybe he's doing better in NA than everywhere else, but across the board, he went from < 50% to just better than 50%. His win rate in NA could just be because as Americans, we keep obsessing over who is the new meta; we see Kass got a buff (a tiny, TINY buff at that), we all immediately play Kass to see if he now tromps lane, and suddenly you have a ton of people who don't normally play as or against Kass in the same game, and Kass wins because people don't play against him often vs. who is the current "meta".
That's my completely boundless take on it, anyway.
Edit: Grammar fixes.
Do you not remember the last time you made him meta?
You mean the same time Talon and Leblanc were ALSO meta and made midlane a living hell for mages? Right up until they slap that silence back on him, he'll never be QUITE that annoying again.
Because literally no one was playing him and so they thought he was bad. He wasn't.
Winrates mean little.
