Nasus spikes at 6 way too hard

Honest to god, level 6 isn't late game, he needs to not auto win almost every lane matchup at level 6...

You HAVE to kill him 2 or 3 times PRE 6 to be able to beat him at level 6, and that's just stupid.

EDIT

People looking at nasus winrate saying he isn't a late game champion, lol. Sure he can't really teamfight but a lot of the time he doesn't have to as he can just split his way to forcing 2 or 3 people to his lane. Why? Because nasus is unduelable late game. That's fine, that's his fantasy even though he does it in a bullshit way (purely point and clicking and stat checking hard with innate tank and damage). What I don't think is fine is that his level 6 powerspike is essentialy unbeatable.

Something as simple as Q reduction in R goes from 50% at all ranks to 20/35/50% would be great.

Nasus is not a late game champion.

He's a god in the mid game, but he's almost useless late since he can't reach the ADC.

Hell, against the likes of Zilean or Nami he can't even take off in the mid game since he can't fucking move.

I know Nasus is frustrating but can people stop saying bs like this similar to how people use to say “Lee doesn’t fall off”

Your link proves his point.

At 45 minutes there's a huge drop in winrate to about the same level of 15 minutes in and far below 50%.

From that point on Nasus will reach an eventual point of one shotting squishies in ultra long games, but at the point of the average late game, around 40 minutes+, he has troubles dealing with full build enemy adcs.

BALDG1VEN BOOMER2 votes

LOL, What point? If he was so strong he would have had a better win rate early that drops off.

There will also not be sufficient data around 45 minutes because not many games are likely to end there which is why the data drops off but as you can clearly see his win rate just keeps going up and up.

He also doesn’t need to deal with ADCs his new ultimate literally lets him dogpile turrets and Inhib like food, as long your team doesn’t fuck up 4v4 you’re fine.

I'm sorry but you can clearly see the winrate rises till 30min, and then drops past this point.

Wolfeur1 votes

That's…not what I see. My graph just steadily rises until 50 min, at which he reaches 65%

Now, look at my screen again, there's a reason I took such a large screen, it's to show the filters I used to get this data set.

Nah, Nasus is destroyed by Zileans massive slow for 4 seconds that he can spam, not to mention Zil can easily stun him once the slow is nearing its end.

Maybe the Q cooldown reduction should scale with ult ranks? Something like 20/35/50%, or maybe higher if he needs compensation later.

TrundleGarenDarius

Nasus Ult is essentially an armor/resistance boost

The thing that will fuck him up is a champion with innate armor reduction/penetration/steal (In Trundle's case)

Physical damage poke (IllaoiPantheon) is also harsh on him as Nasus won't be able to nullify the damage with item 1054item 3211 due to lack of armor.

The other thing that will fuck up Nasus is a bad team. If the other four can't handle themselves or have a habit of going in too hard to the point of dying over and over again, Nasus can't do shit except back to base before he can really get to push.

Do you even understand that nothing beats Nasus at lvl 6. Either his Q cdr on ultimate must be removed or better rework his wither so it's not point and click.

Tegash1 votes

People who are good at Pantheon can dodge two of Nasus' Qs, one by spell and attack stacking, and the other with Aegis reset. By that point the slow from wither has worn off, and unless he took Ghost + TP, and not flash, you can simply walk away from him, especially if you've built swifty boots instead of merc treads.

Also Teemo with his 5 second blind does p well.

UnoGetGoldELO16 votes

Teemo only works against bad nasuses , good ones will wait out the blind wither you and 2shot.

Tegash2 votes

Agreed, without jungle help to shut him down, Nasus will eventually outscale.

But teemo does a good job of crippling him in the midgame, forcing him to stack away from the team to make up for the loss.

In that case all you have to do is press the 4v5 advantage.

T4underbolt1 votes

Pantheon is literally cancer champion.Someone who loses lane as pantheon has to be wood 5. And teemo isn't a problem for Nasus post 6.

Tegash1 votes

Pantheon loses outright to both Vlad and Olaf, so no.

T4underbolt1 votes

Wow. Vlad is literally the best champion in top along with gnar, Jayce and Olaf is a simple counter pick. Wow champion has a counter pick. That must mean it is balanced./s

Pantheon wont do a sh*t against Nasus after lv6. That said, even before lv6 with new runes nasus can easly reach 6 without feed.

like every toplaners.

Tegash1 votes

Pantheon brings more to a team than Nasus.

Panth can ult to another lane and get a double or perhaps a triple, and Nasus has to spend the game playing catchup. He doesnt have that kind of mobility.

When you pick Panth, you should be looking to get picks in the midgame, not continue laning against an opponent you can't all -in.

It would be like afk farming as Panth jungle and never ganking.

Sun Wu Ryuumoku5 votes

no, when u pick panth its for his snowball. U take panth cause he's (was) a lanebully.

Tegash1 votes

That's... literally what i said.

If you can't beat nasus in lane, and fail in the lanebully aspect, you simply go elsewhere, and snowball there.

overturned. You can break up any champion ability like this and called it overloaded

I said "overloaded" instead of "overtuned" because Nasus' ult actually gives him too many different effects:

Armor and magic resistance that continue to increase with the spell's duration, health, cooldown reduction on his Q, increased size, 50 extra range, and magic damage based on a percentage of the enemy's maximum health.

If that isn't overloaded, then I don't know what else can I call that.

SpecterVonBaren10 votes

Change his passive. It used to be the only way he got through lanning phase but now it makes it so you just can't harass him unless you do it literally constantly.

the weeaboo8 votes

Lmao even if you fucking stomp him in lane, leave him alone for 2 minutes for a TP gank and suddenly he gets right back on your level and starts popping you with 6 Qs

Oakleaf Ranger5 votes

Who says Nasus cant teamfight?

Have any of those people seen a Nasus who righteous glory running mach 10 at their backline?

Which also grants CDR so it fits perfectly into his building items.

His passive and potentially E mana costs/armor shred needs a nerf.

This is what happens when you bring nasus to a team fight, all he got was 1 q and was forced to sit there and watch for 10 seconds while me, Zac, and vel koz do the rest. Sure he tanked twitch damage but if he was an actual tank champion he would have been 10x more useful with the utility a tank champion has to contribute to this fight.

If nasus somehow manages to get to the enemy backline in a 5v5 then that's on them for allowing it to happen not righteous glory.

Oakleaf Ranger3 votes

I was expecting you show me a vid of a Nasus with righteous glory dying to make a point. All I saw was a Nasus that played bad in a choke point that forced to run at the other team front to back.

And if you need a sign that says this Nasus bad just watch and realize how late into the fight it is before he uses his ultimate. There isnt enough context but I would venture to say that if he ulted earlier he could probably won that fight so much harder if he ulted much sooner and just focused front to back.

2Charmnot2Charm3 votes

if he ulted earlier he could probably won that fight

Sorry but where in his ultimate description does it say that he gains tenacity or become immune to CC? It doesn't matter when nasus ulted here, he would have still done nothing because of all the crowd control, it also doesn't matter if we were in a choke point or not because the same outcome would have happened if he ran in a open area fight, unless you're telling me this nasus can dodge a point blank sona ult (which is what started the cc chain) cause i would love to see that happen without flash.

Oakleaf Ranger4 votes

It matters a lot because Nasus gains armor and MR over time when he activates his ultimate. The amount of damage he took before ulting was quite impress as well. If he popped ultimate during all that (or right at the start) he could have probably impacted that fight so much more.

His ultimate cool down isn’t even that high to begin with let alone with all the CDR he builds. Nasus can use it quite freely without worrying about not having it up in time next time he needs it.

Can't contribute anything if you're perma cc'ed. So the only option he could have done more is if he was playing Sion Olaf or Malphite

Salamencę5 votes

Idk why people say Illaoi is good vs Nasus. I have literally never lost vs Illaoi as Nasus and her tentacles give you free stacks. If you dodge her e she can't poke you and you can free farm and stack her tentacles for an easy 400+ stacks at 20 minutes. If anything, Nasus counters Illaoi lol he fucking shits on her.

Digity4 votes

also u should stay out of his wither range in lane cuz he just presses that amazing ability and u instantly lose the duel and then he hits 6 and towerdives u fun times. also Bard nasus is insane lategame champ 3 ppl are reguired in order to danger him not 1shotting everything he sees. The adc can use qss once in a fight but nasus can wither the adc and slow it for 80% every 3 seconds :D his e shreds armor like he has a lastwhisper he is just overtuned atm.

TBH his Q should get less CDR from R if he's allowed to end games by just existing. He could get compensation elsewhere but he's gotten really stupid at snowballing fights since they added that R CDR. I think its something he needed to actually have a midgame but as is it feels like if you're in melee range even as an early game bruiser/tank that Nasus is super dangerous to fight if R is up.

Profirix3 votes

Nasus can just ignore 99% of your team late game and go straight for your towers.

Troll for Trump2 votes

People looking at nasus winrate saying he isn't a late game champion, lol.

Literally almost the entire top lane roster isn't strong lategame

Sire Hippington1 votes

that's mostly a matter if misconception. Just like Sion, even though he does have potential infinit scaleing, he is not a lategame champ. His kit works best in a 1v1 kaneing enviroment and sucks for teamfights, so him spikeing in lane and mostly in the midgame is fine in terms of balance. However, it's quite bad in terms of his gameplay fantasy and player expectations.

xelaker4 votes

if sion gets tons of his scaling complete he doesn't chunk most champs for half their health in one shot.

TheWoollyMammoth4 votes

No amount of hp scaling saves sion from the likes of kog and vayne either.
