Imagine if Shen W dodge lasted two and a half seconds and his Q was passively always on

Add 325 range and make minions also be affected by his W, and that's exactly what laning against Teemo feels like. Only instead of being in an open and exposed position after the dodge wares off, teemo is safely under tower or in his minion wave with the blind back up twice as soon.

(Shen's W buff lasts 1.75 seconds for the record, the same as Teemo's rank 2 blind)

Obviously I'm aware Shen can't be made viable because he has a broken-in-proplay ult and that Teemo is conversely a nonpresence in organized play, but the disparity feels down right oppressive when a derping right clicker made to harass melees out lane has a better defensive tool than the pure tank.

I'd generally qualify Jax's longer dodge more fair mechanically since it only affects himself, is on a longer cooldown than Teemo's until max rank, and the damage from it is delayed while putting him in a risky position.

Just a rant. I know everyone knows Teemo is annoying and dies to pretty much any jungler that feels like ganking that game, but it just sparked, how utterly frustrating his mechanics are compared to similar ones in laning phase.

Imagine if Teemo had AoE hard CC, a dash, and a global teleport.

Missing the point. This is about their mechanics in laning, not in team fights. Shen ult does nothing for his own lane phase and the same goes for that hard cc/dash for the first two levels.

Teemo is literally just a lane bully and has no other impact in the game

That's part of my point. It's the same with TahmKench where both just make lane phase completely unbearable and miserable for their opponent. Didn't Teemo have a rework lined up at some point?

Yeah. All he does unless he gets absurdly fed is make the game a 4v4. If he doesn't lose lane, that is.

That, and he has decent vision control with his R, since it forces a lot of the enemy team to go red trinket instead of yellow ward, and they provide passive vision.
